Crane's Bend at Orange Lake Resort

About
Crane's Bend is one of the four golf courses at Orange Lake Resort & Country Club in Kissimmee. The comprehensive club offers two 18-hole championship courses and two nine-hole courses, one of each is designed by Arnold Palmer. Crane's Bend, like the Reserve Course, is technically one of the first courses at the club though it could be considered one of the newer courses. This nine-hole layout was originally designed in 1982 but underwent a complete renovation in 2003. The name of each hole is a different species of bird, a tribute to the abundance of wildlife that can be seen throughout the course. The golf course wraps around the resort's scenic fountain lake. It is challenging but plays fast, making it perfect for a quick round.

ワニがいました
初心者の妻と一緒にプレイしました。
ショートコースですが、ドライバーを使うホールもありました。
のんびりプレイできて、初心者の妻も楽しめました。
途中のホールにワニがいてビックリしました。
Lots of water
Only thing that bother me was all the personnel cutting grass in front of me which made me wait to tee off or play my second shot. I had a 8:40am tee off which in the future I will wait until late morning so the grounds are somewhat dryer.
Executive Course
I guess I need to read the fine print a little better before I book some of my courses as this is the second time I didn't realize I was booking at an executive course. However, that being said, the course is a nice little one that can be played in about an hour. Some of the holes have some nice character to them and it was in pretty decent shape.
Some Holes Easy, Some Holes Tricky
The first three holes are simple and easy, but the rest are interesting.
Great executive course
We really enjoyed this course, it was very scenic & in nice shape. Not so easy though.
Crane's Bend
The Orange Lake facility is very nice. The course is the 9 hole. We very much enjoyed the round. Challenging on some holes because of water!
Very nice greens
Play was crazy slow. 5-some ahead and some had never played golf.
Some very easy holes and some surprisingly difficult.
Condition was very good. Better greens than the Legends course.
Good value for money
Excellent staff good quality for money, the fairways are little wet , but it's natural after nights rain should maybe limited the carts on the fairways when it's so wet.
ITs short but challenging
It's short but challenging but the fairway is wet after the rain, but overall very good value for money
Disappointing !!!!!
Orange Lake Management would do well to attend more to the maintenance of their Courses. Over the years, things have become way below the standards previously met.
Please please please waken up to realise that you must offer quality at a Resort of this standing
Awful course
We went to play this course and they did not tell us that there were only 8 holes to play and the price was ridiculous for the 9 holes. Plus they would not match golfnow price so we had to book it online and then they accepted that rate. We will not play this course again.
We love the place!
Having stayed at Orange Lake Resort a couple of years ago, and having played Crane's Bend a number of times then and again this February and March when we were here -- my wife and I, in our 70s really like this course a lot. We now live in Celebration and will no doubt play it many more times.
Great deal
$10 for a 9 hole round was a great deal. Course was in good condition. Helped that I played well!!!!
It is a short but challenging course (lots of water)
It was hard to find since there is no clubhouse. The person who registered me to play was very unpleasant and acted like he was doing me a favor by letting me play. He made me feel stupid for not being able to find the place to register (remember, there is no clubhouse, you have to register at a store named The Marketplace). This was the first and last time for me.
Short of good deal
The course was very short even from the teal tee boxes. I played the Reserve the next day for less money and it was more challenging. Besides the views and weather not much more that a pitch and putt course. I played the par 4's with a seven iron off the tee. Believe me I'm not that good.
The course was in good shape
the course was in good shape. The fairways were nice and the greens were receptive and rolled smoothly. I would definitely play this course again.
Pretty good value
Nice course, greens were in bad shape but all else was fine.
Fun & theraputic frustration
Awe yes. The short game challenge. Those par threes that look so easy just grind your nerves to get on the green. Then the putting that rolls so true to just burn the lip. Plus an island par 3 that is generous but exciting. 6 par threes and 3 par fours. The par fours should help the score but their nuances can bite. We played it three times and the third time around was our best scores. Great fun, only lost two bets....
Fun to Play
If you are looking for a great 9 hole adventure, this is it. 3 par 4s and 6 Par 3s. Course was in fantastic shape!
