Crane's Bend at Orange Lake Resort

About
Crane's Bend is one of the four golf courses at Orange Lake Resort & Country Club in Kissimmee. The comprehensive club offers two 18-hole championship courses and two nine-hole courses, one of each is designed by Arnold Palmer. Crane's Bend, like the Reserve Course, is technically one of the first courses at the club though it could be considered one of the newer courses. This nine-hole layout was originally designed in 1982 but underwent a complete renovation in 2003. The name of each hole is a different species of bird, a tribute to the abundance of wildlife that can be seen throughout the course. The golf course wraps around the resort's scenic fountain lake. It is challenging but plays fast, making it perfect for a quick round.

Great short game course
This was a wonderful warm up course. It helps with your short game! The greens are small, so precision is necessary!
Short course
The course is good but very short, more like a par 3 course. The first few holes are wedge only. The hire clubs were not great and there is better nine hole courses out there.
We love the course.
Cart attendant was over the top, bordering on rude to my guests when they mistakenly took the cart to the car to unload their clubs. There are no signs in the lot and coming off the course, it seems like the correct road to take.
Lovely short course, Great for short game
Lovely short 9 hole golf course with plenty of water par 30. Will improve your short game,
Very nice layout.
I wish I knew beforehand that the greens had recently been plugged.
Short course, 9 holes
I will not play executive courses again. So short and they paired me up with a novice even though there were few players on the course. He hacked away at a par three 118 yards while I made the green in one.. Three par 4 enough to use your driver, but I was left unsatisfied when I was done. I went to play 18 in the afternoon at another course after lunch.
Cheers Tommy x
Very interesting
The course starts out with 3 easy par 3's and gets harder and harder but is fair.
First golf experience in Florida
Good introduction to the types of play in this warmer weather. Super friendly and attentive staff.
Lovely course
We played the 9 hole Cranes Bend course which was in excellent condition. Very good value for money. Scary tee shot on 5th with the 192 just a few metres away! We also had a lunatic resident on 6 scrumping for balls in the pond and standing directly on the 'Tiger' line between tee and green. Hole 8 is fantastic and 9 had a daunting tee shot but once again a great hole - thanks Golf Now
Very nice short course and perfect for beginners or someone working on the shorter game
Very nice short course and perfect for beginners or someone workin
Over all good course.
Kind of tight but very nice tee box, fairways and greens.
To many villas
Holiday course to many villas on course
Very short but was in good condition
Not for the serious golfer
A 9 Hole course with three par 4 holes. #8 features an Island green.
Course is a challenging mixture of Par 3 and Par 4 holes. Water is strategically placed on 4 holes including the memorable Island green at # 8. A golf cart is included with the Green Fee. Very beautiful course with plenty of Wild Life (Sand Cranes, Turtles, )
Good Practice Great Value
Very well maintained. 3 tee boxes allow different practice shots.
Fun.
Not too Shabby
We decided to play this course to supplement our earlier round at Orange Lake Legends. Its a cool little course that is great for practicing your short game and precision. Its a narrow course with small greens. It was in good shape for being a resort course where I am sure some hackers play. The Greens were in terrific shape and rolled true. Next time I am in town I play to stop in to play.
Pace is slow. Good course to awaken your golf swing
Nine hole easy executive type course. This is the one that newbees play, So don't be in a hurry Course was in good shape.
We were 4 players and we are repeat customers. We definitely enjoy the course and the staff.
Staff is some of the friendliest around and the course was in good shape. We would definitely play again.
Crane's Bend Orange Lake Resort
Good for tuning up from the cold north. Good 9 hole course.
Good Executive
I would play here again. Well maintained, great value. We played here as a supplemental round. Worth it.
Moderatly challenging executive nine with power cart
Play time was 1 hour and 10 minutes. We were first out in the morning. The course was in pristine condition. Hole # 8 is a challenging Island hole. Great course for anyone of moderate skill level or better to concentrate on there short game.
