About
Located just minutes from the beach, the conveniently situated Clearwater Country Club sprawls across a coastal landscape of Spanish moss-draped trees and towering, mature oaks. Stevenson Creek meanders through the golf course, coming into play on six holes. Built in 1920, the layout has a traditional design that is challenging but fair. The course is tight but it plays long, especially on the par 5s. The rolling fairways are well manicured and the greens play at medium speed and are consistently well maintained. Clearwater C.C. actually has a reputation amongst locals for its superb conditions. It is also popular with visitors, snowbirds specifically, since the club offers the area's only seasonal and short-season membership with exclusive privileges. It is also one of the few clubs in the area that allows walking.

Very nice conditions nice fairways, nice greens, nice layout good restaurant. Will go back for sure.
Slow!
Tee times were only 8 minutes apart. My tee time was 1252 and we didn’t get to tee off until after 130. Course was well kept but the wait time and slow play was a problem.
Packed!!
Course was overbooked… no cart availability and tee times were delayed 30mins +! Staff was calm and helpful- a great asset to this course!! Glad I only booked 9 or I would have needed a flashlight to finish!!
Loved the course would play it again really enjoyed how much is ladies league there do you have to be a member of the course?
This is no Country Club
The starter and the pro shop manager were not very friendly. There is no Ranger and we waited on every hole for the slow group ahead of us. Finally decided to skip a hole when waited again on the back nine. Saw a 7-some playing and I’m not kidding. Will never go back.
Pretty good
Played with two fine Canadian Gentlemen, overall good experience. Course is in good condition, layout is a little tight/compact. Pace of play was still pretty good despite a bit of a backup
Easy layout with average conditions
Wide open with an easy layout which you would think translates into a good pace of play. It does not. 2 group wait on most holes on back 9. Conditions are fair for the time of year.
First Class Experience
I recently had the opportunity to play and received a warm greeting from the pro shop and the starter Paul. I was introduced to 9 locals who play when the sun rises and they asked me to join them as I was a single. They placed me in a foursome and they provided southern hospitality that was exceptional. At the end of the round the starter actually called me by name and asked how my first round went. The boys invited me in for a drink and invited me to join them moving forward. So impressed with the course the amenities but most importantly the great company.
