About
Located just minutes from the beach, the conveniently situated Clearwater Country Club sprawls across a coastal landscape of Spanish moss-draped trees and towering, mature oaks. Stevenson Creek meanders through the golf course, coming into play on six holes. Built in 1920, the layout has a traditional design that is challenging but fair. The course is tight but it plays long, especially on the par 5s. The rolling fairways are well manicured and the greens play at medium speed and are consistently well maintained. Clearwater C.C. actually has a reputation amongst locals for its superb conditions. It is also popular with visitors, snowbirds specifically, since the club offers the area's only seasonal and short-season membership with exclusive privileges. It is also one of the few clubs in the area that allows walking.

Solid course
This course was better than I expected. Back 9 had better fairways and greens. A few holes were hard as a first timer. Would play it again
Horrible pace of play and overbooked
There was a tee time every 7 minutes, it was extremely overbooked, and the pace of play was horrendous. We had a 1:50pm tee time, and only got to play to the 16th hole because the sunset at 6:10pm.
Back after 9 years.
Staff was friendly and efficeimt. Facilites, very good, clean and above average; pace of play slow on front 9, almost 3 hours!! Much better on back nine. Starter starts people too soon.
Great round
Played with two gentlemen, Mike and Joe. Very enjoyable
Good Value.
Joined up with a couple. Course was in decent shape for the time year. Overall it’s a great value!
Clearwater golf course
This was the first time I have played the course. After reading many reviews, I was prepared to have a 5 hour round. And I was right, it took just over 5 hours to complete my round. Fortunately I was paired with 3 very pleasant individuals and we enjoyed the afternoon together. The course was in good shape overall. The greens and fairways were in great shape! I liked the course layout and will definitely be back to play again.
Worth playing
Played in 4 hours, tees, traps and greens were in good condition. Fairways were thin. Good practice facility.
Solid course
First time playing and that made it interesting. If we had known the holes better, scores would have been lower. Not a fan of the shell bunkers at all. Have a big chip in my fairway wood from #12. I'm fine if they had left that gimmick out. Back 9 grass was totally different from the front. Will play again
Worth playing
Tees were good, greens a bit slow, good traps. Pace was great. We played in 4 hours. Not a very long course from the tips.
Simple track
Not much to it! Not a lot of trouble!

Problem pace if play! With tee times every 7 minutes and with everyone showing up it was 10 minutes behind at 9:30: We played a little over 4:40
When we got back they needed our cart and it was really backed up!
9 minute tee time would solve it.
4 hours for 9 holes
We didn't get onto the first tee box until 45 minutes after our tee time. The course was so backed up it took 4 hours to complete 9 holes.
