The Chi Chi Rodriguez Golf Club, centrally located on McMullen Booth Road a comparably short course, offering just 5,454 yards from the blue tees and a slope rating of 118. Most of the fairways are wide, making errant shots still playable. In essence, it is the ideal place to work on your golf game, to correct that nasty slice or learn to hit that oversized driver without fear of losing 100 balls. As a result, it is a favorite among novice golfers who want to be challenged but also have an enjoyable round.

Tight course forces you to make choices. Everything was in fine shape. Played with 13 knuckle dragging, nose picking, gas filled buddies. All had a great time, except the hungover ones. Staff was terrific. Greens rolled quick, a little bumpy. They are in transition mode and will be "perfect "in a few weeks , according to a vagrant holding a sign on the road out front. My frst time playing and I would play it again tomorow if my wife spent less on her boyfriend.

Had a tee time for 10:30am

arrived in pro shop at 9:38am.

Was told I couldn’t check in until 10:00am

Walked back to the car to tell my playing partners and we carried our bags to the practice green area.

Noticed 20 carts lined up ready to go.

Practices for 15 minutes and went back into the pro shop to “check in”.

Ask the rude pro shop employee why we only get 30 minutes and he replied”that’s the rule”

I told him that last time it was 60 minutes. He said that was not the policy.

Regardless….

It’s a Wednesday

There’s plenty of carts outside

Yet we have to lug the bags from the car )so we could warm up)

Ridiculous

I can see if it were a weekend and carts were limited, but come on guys!

Mario the Starter was excellent and very friendly.
