The Chi Chi Rodriguez Golf Club, centrally located on McMullen Booth Road a comparably short course, offering just 5,454 yards from the blue tees and a slope rating of 118. Most of the fairways are wide, making errant shots still playable. In essence, it is the ideal place to work on your golf game, to correct that nasty slice or learn to hit that oversized driver without fear of losing 100 balls. As a result, it is a favorite among novice golfers who want to be challenged but also have an enjoyable round.

Enjoyed the round
A little higher than other Hot Deals but ok. The course was in in pretty good shape and the greens rolled pretty true.
Great Course, Great Price
This public course was in really good shape considering it rained a lot the night before. It was cart path only, no big deal, actually great to keep joe public off the course with carts. Greens were good and staff was friendly and awesome.
Slow motion lay
It took us almost 5 hour to play 18. Chi Chi is not a long crs and I played there May times but this is not acceptable..

Enjoyed playing Chi Chi’s. However. I did not realize they didn’t not serve or allow alcohol on the course prior to booking. I don’t recall seeing that in the course description on Golf Now. I understand why. But was a little shocked when I couldn’t get a beer at the turn

I like the mission of the school and of course but the course is always a really good
6 players playing together what’s this the marshal must have been blind.
Course is in great shape, greens are top dressed now
With the lack of rain, I must say that surprisingly, ChI-Chi's was lush and green. The greens were top dressed, but rolled and brushed and the ball rolled well, but we're challenging to read. I thought that made it more fun.
The course is very playable.
Best Maintained Public Course in the Area
Chi chi is the best maintained public course in the area. From teeboxes to greens, the grass is green and lush, mowed and ready. Layout is one of my faves, you wouldn’t expect the elevation changes in this part of the county. Grounds are in better shape than higher fee courses (Lansbrooke, Wentworth) and on par with Clearwater Country Club
$50 greens fee is the best value in Pinellas and nearby Hillsborough and Pasco.
They should spread out tee time more than 5 min though, that would help with pace of play which still is pretty good.

Staff friendly. Greens in below average state but we haven’t had a lot of rain recently.

I like the layout, good course for a "short knocker" like me, lol.
No alcohol, always slow play, but close to home and well priced. 👌
pace of play was awful on the back nine
played front nine at a very comfortable pace but hit a wall on 10. don't know why but we left after 15 holes because there were 5 groups....
thats right, 5 groups on the 16th hole. unacceptable.
