Overall the course is good but a lot of the holes are very tight and a lot of gimmick holes. You need to hit it in the middle we played the upper tees so a lot of times it wasn’t driver

Course was in excellent shape. Staff were all pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable.

My only criticism concerns the layout. There are 4 holes where brooks running across the fairway come into play off the tee. It would be very helpful if yardages to and over the brooks were posted on those tees.

The front nine was just opened after a thorough overhaul. When I played a lot earlier, the front nine was closed for renovations. Both are opened now and it’s a treat to play now. With Golfnow the prices are reasonable.

The course is in very nice condition and enough of a challenge for a high handicapper like me. Staff was friendly and helpful. Had booked a second round that was canceled because of the course closing due to the Coronavirus. I will definitely try to book again next year.

My review is based on what I could see from an empty parking lot. The notice on the bag drop said - 3/18/20 Golf operations are closed. Please check our website for further details.

As a GN customer Shell Point would have my email address, they could have let me and other GN customers know the course was shut. It seems to be the only one in the area that is closed.

Hopefully I will get a credit from Golf Now. Looking at the GN web site there is no way, other than this of bringing the problem to GN's attention.

The greens were firm, fast and impeccable!. They have redone the fairways and rough on the front nine and some holes on the back. Will finish the rest in the off season, however, they were very acceptable in the current conditions. I can't wait to come back and play this course again.

After playing three other very nice courses, I finally found a First Class golf course! This place was amazing! Fairways, bunkers and greens were all FIVE STAR!!! This course is a must! Some target golf but I will play Shell Point EVERY time I return to Fort Myers! Loved it!!!

One of my favorite facilities in the Fort Myers area. Course conditions and layout are 5 star. However, I was sent off the back nine with another single and when we made the turn we ran into a wall of foursomes and we came to find out this is a “dry” facility.

We booked through golfnow when we arrived to find that the proshop did not have our tee times, however they had something that they received that showed our time but they failed to put it on the tee time. They squeezed us in and asked us to start on the back nine. We caught up with a group on the second hole and waited every shot for 17 holes.

At one point I saw a fellow that was playing and I noticed he was an employee. He was obviously off duty but I asked him why they did not have rangers. He said if I called the pro shop they may send someone out but likely only ask the group to speed up. We figured when we got to the front nine they would be gone. No suck luck as apparently they also started on the back. 4 hours and forty minutes is unreasonable. Ridiculous. We could see at least two open holes ahead of this group

At one time golfers use to care they were holding up other golfers. Seems lately no one cares. Also seem like the golf courses only seem to police traffic early in the morning when their members are playing. For green fee players they have your money so who cares??

As for the course, I love this course. Played it several times. Just very frustrating. Courses in Florida in prime season need Marshalls.

The course has a great layout, don’t mind the construction around 10th. A windy course for certain but generous fairways help with driver placement. Greens tend to get fast later in the day. Large greens are a bit hard to read at times but seem consistent around course. Course lacks concessions after 11am which is a disappointment . Water is available on front and back fairways.

Very narrow course with many hidden water hazards. In addition constructions are everywhere.

Great course! Challenging but you can score if you keep it in the fairway. Pace of play was frustrating at times especially the front nine. The round took about 5 hours to complete which is unusual for this course. Otherwise we had a great time and I would highly recommend this course.

As soon as you pull into the property , you notice the lushness of the grounds. The golf course is vibrantly green. Bag drop attendant was awesome. Pro shop guys were good. Starter was super helpful.

The course is a picture postcard. Not particularly difficult but a lot of fun.

Such a great course! For the price you can’t beat the value. I always play this course a couple of times a week when in town.
