Lots of water
Great fairways. Only complaint and likely the fault of Golf Now, not the course, is that they did not have my name on the record. I was known as “Golf Now” on their tee sheet, instead of my name. This was frustrating to me and the Pro Shop cashier. They did not even know if I had paid until I showed them my confirmation email. By any means necessary, you must improve this part of the app; it is not in tune with modern technology available today.
One of the best
I always wanted to play this course since I’ve been coming down as a Snowbird to Southwest Florida. But it was always to much for me in season. I got a great deal on golf now I can’t explain it but using one of my $20 coupons it was awesome. The course itself is super nice especially the front nine was in excellent condition all the way around. The back nine is Soso but it’s because of the construction going on and they’re closing the course at the end of the month. to fix it But if you get a chance at a reasonable price to play this course do it you’ll enjoy it they have all types of teas for whatever type of golfer you are and as I said the staff is so friendly
Worth playing for the money
Well kept for the most part......couple tee boxes need some attention. Greens were very good and fairways were very good. There is a lot of water on this course so you can go through a few balls if you are not careful. Fun to play.
Ready for a challenge
The course was in really good shape and the greens were very true, though somewhat hard to read. Be prepared to hit the ball straight off the tee given the number of holes with water on either (or both) sides of the fairways. Have played the course a couple of times now, and always a consistent breeze or wind that will affect your shots. All in all a great play. Only negative was the snack shack was closed and no beverage carts.
Great course
Tees fairways and greens are all very good. Nice layout with 5 different tees allow for different capabilities. Pace of play was good. Very nice course.
Great in-season value
Played Shell Point on a Monday afternoon during peak of season. Check-in and staff friendly and helpful. Very nice range and good size practice putting green. Course was in great shape and well maintained. There is some road construction going on which affected one or two holes but really not a big deal. Pace of place was good after a holdup on early long par 3. Price was a deal considering what it costs to play in SW Florida during season. Can’t wait to visit again!
BEST CONDITIONING I HAVE EXPERIENCED CURRENTLY
Well cropped tee blocks and fairways along with fast true greens. I have played 6 other courses in the last 6 days, many of which were far more expensive . This one has superior conditioning of all of them. ONLY DOWNFALL...4 of the holes on the back nine are way too gimmicky and sorrowfully discredit the course as a whole. I was completely sold on this course until I hit #s 11, 13, 14 & 15. Too bad! Outside of that......great golf course for a very reasonable price.
to the point
we love this course, play as often as we can. it's always a 10 plus for this amazing course
First Class
Shell Point never ceases to amaze. Pristine from tee to green
Starving to Death
The Clubhouse snack bar is only open from 7 AM to 11 AM so you are out of luck if you thought you could catch a hot dog or hamburger for lunch. This policy is preposterous. Somebody should wake up somebody in golf operations and do a survey of the golfers and members to reconsider this policy.
Wake up Shell Point Management and reopen your snack bar.

Nice golf course
Shell Point is a well maintained and challenging golf course. There are some beautiful holes with quite a variety of layout. The back nine has several holes with large wide water hazard man made creeks that require some caution on your drive. Plenty of holes with water and unplayable landscape ...so take lots of balls! I recommend playing this course!
A great experience
Excellent course, condition was first rate. Will definitely play again. Tee boxes in great shape, fairways top notch and greens were excellent.
Not at all worth what I paid
I have played a lot of different and more expensive courses and never have I felt like I was being ripped off. They allow people to dig for balls during the round in the water. There is lots of construction going on so very difficult to get around in some spots. When you go to their website you should be warned that the whole back nine is in a construction area. The course is ok but very difficult to get around. There is no cart person which again they don't say on their website. I love beautiful golf courses and this is definitely not one of them. The last hole is next to a plant or something and you hear the road. Not a very pleasurable place for a round of golf and not worth the money. Save your money or spend a little more and play a really nice course.
In Naples for the week, Shell Point was the only course I could find with availability in the early morning for under $100. Course was fantastic. I’m a 9 handicap and it was challenging enough, especially in the wind. Great fairways, greens and practice facility. The only downside is not having GPS in the carts, or photos of the holes on the scorecard. It’s tricky your first time without those.
Booked as a single, and after getting to the range the starter told me they’d pair me with a threesome and told me I’d have to share a cart. They let me out before the post 10:30 discounted time I had so I could play as a single where there was a decent opening.
