Grouchy Staff
Guy who was working inside started throwing out political references and calling me a Trump Radical because I forgot my face mask and then continued to make remarks. I wasn’t thinking when I got out of the car and wasn’t even planning on going inside but needed balls. So yes I should of had my mask and he could have nicely reminded me instead of being a complete jerk about it. Never will play here again.
Enjoyable and Nicely Situated
Rating could have been higher, but no fault of Cocoa Beach Country Club. Florida weather required the front nine (Dolphin) to use the 90 degree and the back (River) to be cart path only.
Nicely laid out course and very friendly staff.
Staff probably thinks COVID is a hoax
No employees wore masks. They didn’t wipe carts down between uses. Staff was very combative when expressing concerns but refused to refund. The fairway conditions of the Lakes course were AWFUL.
Old style Florida course, NOT a housing development
Enjoyed the views of water and wildlife on most every hole. Basically flat, sea level layout. 27 holes total. Greens are :very course, grainy, sea side type grass that check up nicely if pitching into the grain. Putt very well but on the slow side. A few forced carries, so water is in play. Overall a nice course that could be in better condition.
Cocoa Beach
The greens are in good shape and the fairways decent. The rough was a little bit muddy but for 30 dollars is worth it. Be ready to fight with the wind. Other than that, I can say it is a decent golf course.
Nice waterside course.
Pretty good condition and open. Gotta play the wind a lot. Will definitely go back.
Nice course
Nice course. Greens very good unfortunately fairways we had too many plug balls. Pace of play was great under 3 1/2 hours
Fun course regardless of the standing water
This course was set up for cart path only when my wife and I played the front nine. It had quite a bit of standing water on the fairways but added a bit of a challenge to ball placement and planning shots. Course was fun and would certainly play again for the price. Give it a shot!!
Great course for cost
Wife and I played the “Lakes” course after an inch of rain poured. It was playable but obviously some lies we were glad we brought our rain gear. Overall a fun little challenge for the cost.
Pretty course, but needs work
If you haven't played Cocoa Beach, you should play it for the beauty alone. It's a pretty course for sure with the river running along several holes. The greens are also very nice and roll quick and true, but they are VERY hard, so prepare for your ball to bounce hard and not check. It's really difficult to get a divot repair tool in the ground to repair the divots that do exist. There are a lot of weeds and invasive grass on tees, fairways, and aprons. If your ball ends up on the apron, you may even have to chip. I putted from the apron on the second hole, and my ball hit the weeds and took a sharp right. As others have said, some of the staff isn't the friendliest either. No big problems, but a smile wouldn't hurt.
Just OK
This course is just ok. Not much imagination in the layout. However, greens were in very good condition. I thought $41 was a bit expensive for this course. I’ve played here 3 times and yet to get to play the River course.
