Greens ok, the rest, not so much
Played after a big storm the day before. Cart path only, strangely enough course was pretty dry. Greens generally in good shape, not fast but pretty smooth. Some tee boxes were being redone but some of the others were pretty rough too. The fairways had lots of St Augustine grass. Not the best for golf. Pace was good and it looks like they are in somewhat of a maintenance cycle. Should get better in time.
Great Value
Course was in fantastic shape-- especially the greens. The only downside is that there's a sewage treatment facility nearby, and the smells get pretty strong on a few holes. But for a municipal course, it's in the best shape of any that I've played in quite some time.
First Time here
Course she is in good shape, well 2 of the 3 nines were, River nine was a bit neglected. Interesting layout but not many doglegs, mostly straight holes, some with some water or obstacle but overall a nice day of golf. I would play here again.
Fun in the heat
Hot humid day, but playing through 18 in 3.2 hours with 9+ MPH wind from the river is "so cool". OK fairways but good greens. Would play again.
Course in very good condition
Greens in excellent condition but we’re a little slow.
Fairways for the most part we’re very good but there were some bare spots on some holes. Pace of play was very slow. Starter loaded up the first tee with back to back groups. Carts in very good condition. A very nice scenic course by the river.
Played 9 (Dolphin)
So I can’t comment on pace of play. But I will assume that it can get slow.
Like most FL courses water does come into play both off the fairways and carries into the greens.
Your biggest concern will be wind. As it will come into play.
Rough isn’t torture Ball sits up nicely on fairways.
All in all a good round of golf. ( chip in for a 3 on 9 doesn’t hurt either )
Enjoy
Solid 27 hole course
Good course and it is in good shape. They do a good job of managing tee times on the 3 9 hole courses so you don't get hung up at the turn. We did catch someone on 13, (we were the first tee time) so there was a gap when we turned so it still managed to be a sub 4 hour round.
I did not expect much about golf course. I was so surprised while I was playing. There were many beautiful scenic viewing at River and Dolphin course.
I strongly recommend to golfers playing this golf course with low hot deal price if it is available.
Beside, after playing golf go to the Beach Walk and some restaurants near the course would be wonderful.
Some Fairways Need TLC
Greens in excellent condition but on the slow side. Some fairways had a lot of bare spots. Layout was challenging. Has 3 nines .
