Tough but fair
Nicely laid out course with lots water esp on par 3s and some crossover par 4s 5s to move from section to section of those holes
Greens slow but great shape not one mark on em
FWs had some barish spots that cud use repair esp due to salt air
Overall had gud time Temps were low for late May so bearable even mid day for us visitors from drier climes
In Horrible condition!
Couldn't find any grass on the fairways. Greens were mostly okay. Overall - this course could be beautiful, but it was in horrible condition. They may not have an operational irrigation system. Really bad!!!
No provision for missing player
I am a regular at CBCC and know the course well. I purchased a foursome, anticipating all of my players would show up. However, one contracted Covid and had to stay home, in quarantine. There is no refund or rain check policy so I was out my money, even though I payed for 4 but only had 3. That does not seem fair at all and discourages me from ever wanting to use Military Tee Times or golf now again!!
Pleasantly suprise
First time at course. Great tees for all levels. Greens were in great shape. Bring your wind game if your gonna go there. Surprised that course was 27 holes. Will be back soon.
Needs improvement
This was our first time playing the course and we were very impressed with the greens and tee boxes. The fairways needs work. The River front nine more than the Dolphin back. Also, somehow we were scheduled in between a large rowdy group which caused play to be slow. We even had a group behind us hit into us which was taken care of. I will come back but not on a weekend.
End of busy season
The Greens (Paspulum) are the best in Central Florida public courses, if you like fast, smooth, fast greens. Close by (33 minutes) Viera East GC and New Smyrna Beach CC are similar, although they all do not bite too well. River Course looks like it had some kind of water damage, which made it look a little browner. If this was a private course, they would spray it with green fertilizer, so preferred lies all over on the River. The Dolphin 9 was in better shape fairway wise.and the majority if tee boxes and turf around the greens were almost plush. Great course to have Bob Marley playing in the back on your speaker. Saw 3 huge turtles and lots of wild life. No dolphins or alligators this round though.
Cocoa Country Club
The course was in terrible shape. The only redeeming feature was the greens which were well manicured and true. Fairways were all in disrepair with holes and weeds everywhere.
Do I need to be a resident.
Do I need to be a resident of cocoa beach to play here when I book a hot deal? I did not think so but they asked if I was when I checked in. There was nothing in your app when I booked.
Interesting course with the wind
Played the course twice recently and it is always busy. Driving range and putting area are nice. Only complaint was the lack of grass and overall condition of the tee boxes and fairway. Course drained well after the rain but grass is very sparse. Greens were okay but not consistent
