Cocoa Beach - River/Dolphin
We played after a lot of rain had fallen on previous days. The River/Dolphin courses were 90 degree and the Lakes was cart path only. The course was very playable. It looks a little shaggy when you look at the overall area but didn't play that way. I have no complaints about the tee boxes or fairways. The greens are probably the best in the Central Florida Area. They feel soft when you walk on them but putt reasonably fast and true. The only problem that I had with our day was the grumpy rangers at the course. There was a Severe weather event that was going to blow through the area. We parked our carts in the cart barn and were instructed where to park by one of the rangers. A few minutes later two of the other rangers came to us and demanded that we remove our carts from the cart barn and put them under the portico in front of the building as they didn't have "room" for our carts in there. They were very snarky as we were holding out hope to play after the severe weather passed. After about 40 minutes we were able to return to the course and play the remaining 16 holes we had to finish. Its too bad that this facility has always had this type of people working in the cart area. This is not the first time with rude behaviors from cart attendants/rangers. All other aspects and staff get no complaints as they are top notch.
A good ride spoiled
I have played this course for over 35 years and consider it my "home " course. I booked this round on Golf Now as a single player and was treated like a second class citizen. I was not permitted to ride in my own cart , even though I explained I had an appointment later in the day and might have to leave before I finished my round. My golf cart mate was a fine gentleman who also booked golf now. We proceeded to the first tee, when a lady ran out of the starter's booth, (her name is Rose) and snarled at us and yelled " you are not on the tee yet". We offered her our apology.
She proceeded to allow a twosome to go ahead of us, the average age of which was 95 yrs old, plus a walker. A 1 1/2 hr front nine turned into a 2/1/2 one. The gap was ridiculous.I had no choice but to to quit after 9.
If I was a first time player, I would never go back.
This is the problem of a municipally owned and managed course. They hire unqualified, unhappy and unprofessional people who could care less. Being a Golf Now patron made matters worse and can be problematic at other courses as well. Golf Now patrons are simply not treated as well as others paying full price. Why? Is it the golfer's fault for taking advantage of lower rates offered ?
Nice course. Replace refreshment cart personel
Nice course. A little fast for my ability and did not expect to be paired up with other couple at tee off. Enjoyed there company and had fun until experience with the refreshment cart personel.
The refreshment cart lady, thought it was her job to scold my 11yr. son for saying the word “crap” in a conversation he and I were having. Seriously!
I do recommend this course but not the hospitality of the refreshment cart personel.

Nice course, cart lady needs replaced.
Nice course. Felt pushed for play time on the course and did not expect to be teamed up with another pair. We did enjoy the company of the couple we were paired up with and enjoyed playing the course. Just a little to fast of play for me. After the first nine, our foursome split and we continued on. That’s when the cart lady comes into play. She stopped and we asked for refreshments. My 11yr. old son and I were having a conversation in which he said the word “crap”. She over heard and proceeded to scold him and tell him he was a “bad boy”. SERIOUSLY! Remove her from her position.

Excellent Condition
The condition of the golf course, especially the greens, was great and better than that of the other courses I've recently played in the Melbourne area. And the pace of play was also excellent making the outing an outstanding value.
Nice course, very enjoyable round
Played for the first time. Course in very good condition and the greens were excellent. A fun afternoon!
Not to bad for a beach area course
First time playing here all staff great people and very friendly and helpful . As for course flat and kind of boring layout .Greens are in great shape fairways and rough could use some help but definitely playable .Still would play again just would not pay over 50$ for it .
Nice condition greens
Rest of course is in only fair condition. Fairways need water and weed removal. Tee boxes are beat up and sparse. Bunkers were well maintained. River 9 is worth playing. Tiny range, had to wait to hit.
Friendly and welcoming staff and great greens
My first visit to this course and was deeply impressed by the “little things” provides by the staff. Was provided a course layout booklet to better understand the course. Starter was a hoot who also provided some great local advice. The course greens were challenging and required some finesse. The offerings in the clubhouse were slim, but that is the only item that could use improvement on this course.
A good test for mid to high handicappers!
Pro shop and starters were efficient and courteous. Tee off was right on time and we only had to wait on one par 3 hole so pace was excellent for our two couples. Fairways were in good shape and so were the greens albeit a tad slow but ran true. Bunkers are not true sand but filled with small gravelly substance. We liked the course challenge from the white and ladies red tees,
