Providence Golf Club

I play here fairly often and it rarely disappoints. I played with a buddy and got paired up with a great couple of guys. The greens and fairways are in good shape although some of the fairways were a bit thin and muddy. The tee boxes were in good shape as well for the most part. I played the blue tees which were a bit challenging (6,500 yards). Cool layout. The only negative was a horrible threesome ahead of us who had apparently never golfed in their life. They wouldn't take their carts into the fairway and were constantly wandering around the course looking for balls and hacking up the course and taking forever to hit. We finally called the clubhouse to get a ranger to speed them up on the back nine which helped a little bit but it was still a slow round due to them. Overall, a fun experience and I enjoy this course immensely.

Courses terrible six hour round not a Marshall to be seen

Great course and value. $69USD includes cart. A few rough spots on course but it seems as though all the courses we played were experiencing the same. Mystic Dunes, Remington, White Heron and Highlands Reserve all had dead spots on fairways, greens and/or tee blocks. Not complaining as it didn't affect play. Just an observation.

I don’t know how anyone playing this course at this time could describe the conditions as anything but deplorable. They’ve applied some type of dark brown, bark-like top dressing on almost every fairway. Makes it look like you’re hitting off dirt. No way the course is worth $75. It could be a very nice track if they get it in shape. Will not return.

Providence is a nice golf course. They take pretty good care of the course. There are 3 or 4 difficult par 4’s on the course. Tough to reach in two.

Golf Course was under ground repair mostly in the fairways.

Love this course layout and the different landscape elevation. But theres a few greens that are complete abandoned. Can’t even play in those greens. Hope they fix it because is a great course.

First time playing here, tee boxes and greens in great shape. Interesting and challenging layout. Will definitely be back.

Beverage pricing is a bit steep. Might have to bring my own next time

The course itself was in good shape, greens were great and fast. That is where the fun ended. We had a tee time shortly after 2 and were almost 20 minutes late getting out to start. We waited basically 10 minutes on every shot. Called on the 6th hole to let them know we were on pace for a 3 hour front nine. Thier solution was to play the front again which is not what we paid to do. But at the turn we decided that may be better than a 6 hour round. When we finished the 9th we noticed that they had also sent multiple groups that were slow in front of us to the first hole. We played the back and finished just before dark at a time just under 5:45 minutes. On the 18th green we say the Ranger returning from the course, where he clearly did not have a mandate to improve the pace as we did not see him all day. A nice course ruined by no control my management. Will not return!

Lots of wildlife and beautiful real estate

Enjoyed the course. Playing by myself, the only criticism would be pace of play. I followed a twosome for nearly 7 holes before they finally waved me through. Perhaps a ranger could have prevented this from happening. Otherwise, no other complaints.

The course was in great shape. Greens were rolling fast & true. Pace of play for our 3-some playing behind another 3-some was 3 hrs 20 mins. The only negative was that the driving range was closed for maintenance that day. Otherwise, Providence GC has a very good layout and all the challenges and Florida wildlife that golfers should expect.

A must play GC while in Central Florida.
