Providence Golf Club meanders through forests of ancient hardwoods, freshwater creeks, and natural wetlands. The course's scenic landscape also serves as home to an abundance of wildlife including otters, deer, and wild turkeys. Mike Dasher designed the golf course, allowing his admiration for European-style golf course to be reflected in his unique undulated greens. Dasher combined elements of heathland, parkland, and traditional Florida-style courses to create a layout that is both endlessly versatile and visually stunning. A notable hole is the par-4 14th, which will either make or break your score. Golfers will face the most demanding tee shot on the entire course that will determine your chances of reaching the hole in regulation. Providence Golf Club has a strong local following but it is also popular amongst visitors since it sits just fifteen minutes from the major theme parks.

I live in Lakeland and I have played this course many times. Now that the snowbirds have gone home it seems like the staff and service have also disappeared.

No cart person

Bar badly under stocked

No personal connection.

It’s 90 degrees outside and there was two or three water buckets on course but no ice and no cart person. I love the course but because of the lack of amenities I won’t go back until that improves.

Meh

Course is I’m decent shape. Lots of reviews saying the greens are good. They are okay. Just because they are a touch fast doesn’t make them nice. I hit many putts that started bouncing for no reason halfway to the hole. Green to greens are very inconsistent. I wasn’t a fan. Backside is fun with nice layouts and beautiful views.

as other reviews had stated, greens are very nice...other portions of the course, not as much but, not so much to keep you away... slightly out of the way to get to and the "auto-stop" on my cart would come on at times when on the cart path, annoying at times,,,but again, not a reason Not to play...a hot deal price 25-30 is excellent 35-40... ok ...more than $40 at this time of year... I probably would look elsewhere

Great course

First time playing the course and I will admit I was pleasantly surprise. Nice layout and green's were in great shape. Played as a 2 some and caught up to a 4 some who let us pass them by the 5th hole. Will be back

Driven past the entrance for years but finally decided to give the golf course a try.

All the staff we encountered were great and couldn’t do enough for you.
