Providence Golf Club

I didn’t like the golf carts not allowing us to drive on the fairways on many holes. The course was bone dry and the fairways were sub par needs more water.

We played providence on 4/18/2023. We haven’t played this course in quite a while. We thought we would try again.

First the positive. The greens were fast and true even though they were top dressed. No complaints about the greens.

Everyone we came in contact with at Providence was polite and accommodating

The clubhouse was beautiful.

Now the rest. $70 was about $30 too much. Fairways were very thin. Almost like hitting off of dirt. The conditions were fair at best. Definitely not manicured. The layout was uninspiring.

Overall we would not choose to return because there a so many other options. Definitely not the best place to play but also not the worst if the price is right.

We played only nine hole.

You can't do anything about the weather. We happened to play on a very windy day. I loved the layout of the course. For the most part it was generous off the tee and got tougher as you got closer to the green. Greens rolled fast and true. I loved the greens. I would recommend this course. I would love to play it on a less windy day.

Not a bad course for the money. Course was a in pretty good shape and not crowded at all on a Wednesday morning. No bathroom facilities on the back nine (just a single port-a-potty). Lots of home/apartment building going on around some of the holes on the back. Enough water holes to keep it interesting.

IT WAS WINDY TODAY AND MANAGED AN 80 OUT THERE. NOT BAD FOR PLAYING TWICE A MONTH IN THE WINTER...

Sad that the 4 some in front of us did not care that the were slow!

Ranger spoke to them once but they ignored him.

For the price we paid, it was well worth it! Course layout was cool. With a bit of water on the fairways, this course would be a 5/5. It was first time playing and we paid half what other courses in the area charge. Pace of play in the afternoon was insanely good!! I’d recommend!

Played 10 years ago. Development has changed. Lots of construction. Course player friendly. Staff not. Beverage cart server was fine. Greens good. They need to invest in bunker rakes. Tees and fairways good. Nice layout. No trickery or forced carries.
