Providence Golf Club meanders through forests of ancient hardwoods, freshwater creeks, and natural wetlands. The course's scenic landscape also serves as home to an abundance of wildlife including otters, deer, and wild turkeys. Mike Dasher designed the golf course, allowing his admiration for European-style golf course to be reflected in his unique undulated greens. Dasher combined elements of heathland, parkland, and traditional Florida-style courses to create a layout that is both endlessly versatile and visually stunning. A notable hole is the par-4 14th, which will either make or break your score. Golfers will face the most demanding tee shot on the entire course that will determine your chances of reaching the hole in regulation. Providence Golf Club has a strong local following but it is also popular amongst visitors since it sits just fifteen minutes from the major theme parks.

Great Value!!

I played the course several years ago. Wanted to go vack and check the course out again.. I'm glad I did had a great time pretty hot out today. The course wasn't crowded so the pace of play was great hit extra balls. I recommend check out the course 4 greens were cart path only. The tee boxes needs some TLC for the most part their heading in a good direction. Keep up the good work!!

This course has great greens.

We had a lovely round of golf until the lightning started. We have played Providence many times and have always enjoyed ourselves. There are some tricky holes and it’s good to know where the best place is to place the ball to reach the greens. We look forward to playing here again.

When 10 out of 18 holes are cart path only, this should be mentioned on the website

Yes 4 out of the 10 are par 3's but still 6 holes come on

The one upside is the carts are brand new with GPS course it self is hit or miss on a few holes tee boxes fairways and approach shots, but the really bad thing which is not entirely the courses fault no one fixing their ball marks on the greens. This is why golf is getting extremely expensive for local golfers

I live in Lakeland and I have played this course many times. Now that the snowbirds have gone home it seems like the staff and service have also disappeared.

No cart person

Bar badly under stocked

No personal connection.

It’s 90 degrees outside and there was two or three water buckets on course but no ice and no cart person. I love the course but because of the lack of amenities I won’t go back until that improves.

Meh

Course is I’m decent shape. Lots of reviews saying the greens are good. They are okay. Just because they are a touch fast doesn’t make them nice. I hit many putts that started bouncing for no reason halfway to the hole. Green to greens are very inconsistent. I wasn’t a fan. Backside is fun with nice layouts and beautiful views.
