Providence Golf Club meanders through forests of ancient hardwoods, freshwater creeks, and natural wetlands. The course's scenic landscape also serves as home to an abundance of wildlife including otters, deer, and wild turkeys. Mike Dasher designed the golf course, allowing his admiration for European-style golf course to be reflected in his unique undulated greens. Dasher combined elements of heathland, parkland, and traditional Florida-style courses to create a layout that is both endlessly versatile and visually stunning. A notable hole is the par-4 14th, which will either make or break your score. Golfers will face the most demanding tee shot on the entire course that will determine your chances of reaching the hole in regulation. Providence Golf Club has a strong local following but it is also popular amongst visitors since it sits just fifteen minutes from the major theme parks.

Katy greeted u t the big drop nd took our clubs to the cart while e parked the car. Entrance to the Providence community was backed up but the QR got us through the gate quickly.

The greens were true and fast . The new carts are very comfortable and have GPS and are interactive .

The only down side was that the kitchen closed t 3:00 pm .

The staff look great in their new shirts and are very friendly and helpful .

Providence is in very good shape!

They upgraded to brand new carts, greens are in fabulous shape and priced competitively for the area. Not much better round for the money anywhere near Disney this time of year.

Beautiful golf course with poor maintenance

I went in January. Maintenance was so bad. No glass and hard soil. Hard to play. I even said to my husband we are playing at construction site. But the course is actually very nice. I assume it is because of winter time?? I don’t know. Then price is not worth it then. We went other course which was cheaper but better maintenance.

Very disappointed

Booked a 7:20am tee time many months ago, group showed up at 6:50 am an know one was on-site. Made many phone calls to see why the staff was not on-site to open the course and they had no answers. Not the first time this has happened. PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL IF YOU PLAN TO PURCHASE THE SO CALLED SILVER CARD! Paid $149.00 and we still have to pay the $79.00 green fees. This is not a $79.00 Course by any means. Please be very careful! We are begging you to be very careful.

Molasses in December

3 hour front nine, <2 hours of daylight left. Asked for refund for back 9. They insisted no. Offered raincheck but from out of state, plus have no desire to play Providence again. No apology, genius in pro shop defended 8 minute tee times, said they have no way to know play with tourists will be slow. Will never play Providence Golf Club, Davenport, Florida again.
