Cypress Lakes Golf Club
About
Carved from pine, oak, and magnolia trees, Cypress Lakes Golf Club tumbles through gently hilly terrain, a rare landscape for a Florida course. Formerly known as the Solutia Golf Club, Cypress Lakes is also covered with hundreds of crepe myrtles and blooming azaleas and of course, cypress trees. Water comes into play on a few holes and the trees can prove to be tricky but the challenges of the golf course are balanced with the generous width of the fairways. The course's playability appeals to a variety of different skill levels, especially with four sets of tees available as well. In addition to the course, there are also extensive practice facilities available at Cypress Lakes Golf Club including an all-grass driving range, a practice putting green, and a practice bunker.

Pace of play has always been very slow due to quality of players.
I was worried it was going to be a long day, I was wrong. Rate of play made for an enjoyable day. I will be back.
Great course for the money
The course was in great shape despite the rainy month here. The greens while not fast (8-10 stimp) were very smooth and most were sloped rear to front. The fairways were well delineated and well maintained. Overall a very nice course to play.
Craig
Busy but 4 some we had played in 4 hours so not bad at all. Greens are very nice and are semi fast.
Great Suprise!
First time playing Cypress and what a great surprise. This is why Tee Off and other apps are of value, one can discover great courses typically at a discount. Cypress is one of those.
At approximately 6,400 yards, one may think this would be a good course to keep your game in practice. Think again. This is a course the golfer needs to know the course and especially the greens. This was the most enjoyable 90 I have shot in a long- time (9.8 handicap at the time).
Layout is awesome with several dog legs, wide and narrow fairways, and almost all raised greens (club up).
The fairways were in great shape with the rough maintaining the natural grasses for one to appreciate the challenge of playing 2-3 different types of grass.
The greens are well maintained, undulating, grainy, and tricky. They run true and are challenging.
Tee boxes are good with some needed some TLC, but one that could not be hit from.
Plenty of water and trouble to make one think about the next shot. This is not a course for someone just learning.
Overall a great experience at a fair price. The staff is friendly and took time to explain the best strategy to play.
Best 90 I've had in a long-time!
Nice but busy
Course is in nice shape. Greens were fast and in good shape! Real busy but everyone was nice!
ROUGH roughs
Fairways have grown in and filled in okay, but just off the fairway you are going to loose golf balls. The area's of rough everywhere heavy thick and tall , unsafe to go ball hunting and run the risk of snake bite. I understand the reason for rough, but this is unsafe for golfers especially in area's known for snakes. Not even mentioning bumblebees or yellow jackets. Mow the rough please.
Great course conditions
The course was in great shape and since there weren't that many golfers out, I was able to hit multiple shots and practice a bit more than normal The course itself was in fantastic shape, the greens speed varies so that was tough to figure but overall the course was great......just be aware of the knats, they are all over the place
Good condition greens
Went to cypress lakes and was pleasantly surprised at the course conditions. Greens and fringe was spot on. Pace of play was horrible. One 4 some help the whole course up all day and Marshall just stopped to chat with them as they must be members. Said he couldn’t tell them to let people play thru.
Golf rating
They could do a better job making each 4 some keep up with the players ahead of them. I have been stuck behind 6 players chasing balls out of bounds etc. & have no regard for pace of play. Other than that its a great value. Ground keepers are above other courses in the area.
