About
Carved from pine, oak, and magnolia trees, Cypress Lakes Golf Club tumbles through gently hilly terrain, a rare landscape for a Florida course. Formerly known as the Solutia Golf Club, Cypress Lakes is also covered with hundreds of crepe myrtles and blooming azaleas and of course, cypress trees. Water comes into play on a few holes and the trees can prove to be tricky but the challenges of the golf course are balanced with the generous width of the fairways. The course's playability appeals to a variety of different skill levels, especially with four sets of tees available as well. In addition to the course, there are also extensive practice facilities available at Cypress Lakes Golf Club including an all-grass driving range, a practice putting green, and a practice bunker.

Played course since 70's
Best shape I've seen it in years. Greens slow but true, fairways nice. No amenities but best price in town.

Not too $$$, not too fancy
Layout is fun. Greens are tiny, almost unfair. Some fairways have weed and evasive grass problems. Couple blind tee shots and hilly area make for a nice change. Course can’t be described as groomed, but it’s not a bad atmosphere. Putting green is on a hill!?
Good place to play if/when they have online deals. Better local options at full price.

BEST CONDITION IN THE AREA
Right now this place is the best. Best Price, Best fairways, Best Rough, Best Greens, Best Bunkers. Better than Stonebrook, Marcus Pointe, Scenic Hills and of course Osceola municipal. Don't look for amenities but you can get drinks and a hot dog and other small snacks. Parking lot has always been bad. New range balls, very nice staff to include good starters.

Just Ok
The course was in decent shape and had a few challenging holes, but overall was lacking appeal. The price is slightly higher than other area course that are overall better. Nothing negative, but nothing more than meh.

Greens a little rough
Perhaps greens are suffering dry weather effects. More than one had evidence of a heavy tracked vehicle having driven over it leaving annoying ridges...had to guess where the putt might end up!

Save your money, play a nicer track
Players are inhospitable, the staff let’s the course run itself, and we will not be coming back after our most recent outing.
There are 3-4 clubs in the area that are a better bang for the buck. I.E. Highmeadow and Fish Creek

Great greens
I would put the greens at Cypress Lakes up against any area course right now.They roll smooth, good speed, and putt true. The biggest thing this course needs is to rework their cart paths.
Course greening up nicely
Greens hard and faster than usual, probably due to weather.
Mixed feelings
Arrived and the first tee was slammed. Got off on time, placed was packed and it was interesting. 4 some in front of us with a toddler running all over the course. Played through an 8 some, yes an 8 some. Many blue jeans and t-shirts with some interesting music blasting. I feel like the course has some ho-hum holes and some really nicely laid out holes, greens were hard but putted pretty well. Had two old geezers just walk on right in front of us turning from 15 to 16 and they were slow and inconsiderate. What I am writing is why my title is mixed feelings. I wouldn't drive 70 miles again to play it, if I lived in the neighborhood and wanted to play okay.. Ultimately you have to decide, I would rate this as a neighborhood parkland municipal golf course 90% local play. 7/10.

Good conditions
Small, elevated greens make ball striking a premium at this course. The greens were deceptively fast making for a challenging day. The course is in good condition and the rates make this a good local value.

Gave us each a cart due to present world conditions

Staff very friendly and accommodating
Course in good shape overall. Tee boxes need a little work but not horrible
Course is simple yet challenging with elevation changes and some fun risk reward holes
