Cypress Lakes Golf Club
About
Carved from pine, oak, and magnolia trees, Cypress Lakes Golf Club tumbles through gently hilly terrain, a rare landscape for a Florida course. Formerly known as the Solutia Golf Club, Cypress Lakes is also covered with hundreds of crepe myrtles and blooming azaleas and of course, cypress trees. Water comes into play on a few holes and the trees can prove to be tricky but the challenges of the golf course are balanced with the generous width of the fairways. The course's playability appeals to a variety of different skill levels, especially with four sets of tees available as well. In addition to the course, there are also extensive practice facilities available at Cypress Lakes Golf Club including an all-grass driving range, a practice putting green, and a practice bunker.

Very nice
Nice course. Tough but not overwhelming for my level of golf. Definately will play again
A nice challenge.
This course has a nice layout, with challenges for all. I would have given it higher ratings for conditions, unfortunately it had been raining for the week prior to playing, so it was very wet and muddy. The clubhouse is not much, but everyone there was very nice. The carts were good. Overall a very good value and we will play here again.
soggy
The course should not have been open. After recent rains this course is so hilly it just doesn't drain that well. The damage done by walkers and their pull carts will stay for a long time. The greens were great.
Hello grubb2133, thank you for taking the time to review our course, Cypress Lakes Golf Club, and for the 3 stars. We are sorry to see that the course may not have been in the best shape when you played due to water damage and pull carts, but your feedback is appreciated. It looks like you had a friendly experience with our staff and that your round was a great value for you, so we hope this improved your overall experience with us. Thank you for your choosing our course, and we hope to see you again soon.
Great value
Course was in good condition and the staff was extremely friendly..Best carts I have ever had!!.
One of my favorites in town
Always enjoy playing here. Always in good shape and a test if you don’t pay attention
You get what you pay for
Very limited parking - auxiliary parking lot available but about 500 yards away. Not very intuitive for 1st time visitors.
Course offers several hidden shots...another mystery for newbies. No hole layouts on the score card or around the tee boxes.
The greens were ridiculously slow. After a few holes, our group agrreed to a two putt maximum, once on the green.
Course was not maintained well.
Hello dfischer59, We are very sorry you did not enjoy your visit to our club. Thank you for your constructive criticism and your concerns will be addressed. Our greens are in the final stages of transitioning from winter grass to summer grass and we are in the process of lowering the cut. The enormous amount of rain we have had has set us back with some of our maintenance practices which we plan on getting back on track very soon. We hope you might try us again in the future.
A regular on this course
I play here two to three times a month, always a good time, challenging enough to make it interesting, love the dog legs and shorter par 4’s. Can be wet after a heavy rain, Over all usually in good shape.
Thank you jkwing for being a regular at Cypress Lakes! We are pleased to hear the course meets your expectations! See you again soon this month.
Don’t miss the fairway. Put driver away.
Very tight course and not very long. You better hit it in the fairway because the houses are 20 feet from the fairway and they let the brush grow pretty heavy on the edge of the course. A lot of doglegs and the course will push your ball into the rough/houses because the ground leans toward out of boinds Insted of towards the course. A lot of elevation changes. The fairways were very nice but the ground is hard unserneath. The greens were fast and rolled good but do not get above the hole or you aren’t stopping the putt. I was a little irritated at the grounds crew on one hole because one of them was cutting grass in front of the tee box and I had to wait for him to move because he wasn’t paying attention. Pro shop guy was really friendly.
Thank you ob1kinooby for the course feedback regarding your recent visit with us at Cypress Lakes. We hope to see you again soon for an improved experience on your next round.
Great Course
Great value for the price. The course presents elevation and direction changes and is a nice challenge.
Thank you tidefreak1 for the five star rating and review! We hope to see you hit the green at Cypress Lakes again this season!
Birthday golf
My 3 buddies and I came here for 2 of our friends birthday course was in good shape overall. Greens were real fast. Price was right. Made it challenging. We all enjoyed our day. Only down side is they have very little merchandise. Maybe a small snack bar
Thank you u558063845 for the four star review and course feedback from your recent to Cypress Lakes! We hope to see you and your crew again soon this season.
Course needs some work
Course tends to get better in warmer temp. It’s worth the money if you get a hot deal.
Hello Guy7689148, we are disappointed to hear the course didn't meet your expectations. We hope you can visit us again for a fresh perspective this season.
Great course. Had fun. Will be back.
Great Condition. It had rained the day before and the course handled it very well. Only gripe is that there is no way to know the hole layout if it is your first time playing (e.g. nothing on the scorecard or the hole placards). A few of the holes had towers you could climb to get a better view but I suppose not knowing is part of the challenge of playing a course for the first time. Just use a gps app if you think it'll be a problem for you.
Thank you u171281536 for the five star rating and review from your recent visit! We hope to see you again hitting the greens with us again soon.
GRIP IT & RIP IT!!
First time here, so I checked the reviews before hand. Staff is every bit as nice as reviews say they are. Greens are firm and small. Nice course, and I will come back a little later in the season to see the course in full bloom!
Thank you NavyAQ for the four star rating and review from your first Cypress Lakes visit! We hope to see you again this season for another round of great golf!
Great Value....and fair course
Played golf curse many many times. Good condition and greens good shape. Huge piece of property. Used to be owned by Solutia Paper Company. Tons and tons of land..... You will like it and the price.
Thank you rexgolfer60 for the five star rating and review! We hope to see you again soon at Cypress Lakes!
Cypress Lakes Golf
1st green was in rough shape, but course was otherwise maintained pretty well. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.
