About
Carved from pine, oak, and magnolia trees, Cypress Lakes Golf Club tumbles through gently hilly terrain, a rare landscape for a Florida course. Formerly known as the Solutia Golf Club, Cypress Lakes is also covered with hundreds of crepe myrtles and blooming azaleas and of course, cypress trees. Water comes into play on a few holes and the trees can prove to be tricky but the challenges of the golf course are balanced with the generous width of the fairways. The course's playability appeals to a variety of different skill levels, especially with four sets of tees available as well. In addition to the course, there are also extensive practice facilities available at Cypress Lakes Golf Club including an all-grass driving range, a practice putting green, and a practice bunker.

Fun and challenging
Good course fun and challenging
Not Worth a Drive
The day we played CL, the course was very wet, muddy in some spots. The fairways had many wet roped off areas and did not provide nice lies overall. The greens were terrible. Very bumpy and slow. hard to make a putt unless you got lucky and the ball bounced toward the hole. The facilities were a bit seedy. This appears to be an old course, mostly for play by members and other locals. We played it on our way back up north from Perdido Key because it was on our route back. By far the worst course we played on our trip. Will not be going back.
PLAYED A LOT..... GREENS FAST IN WINTER
PLAYED MANY TIMES. GREAT CONDITION... GREENS SLOW IN SUMMER.... THEY DO NOT WANT TO CUT THEM TO CLOSE... IN SUMMER .. SO WILL NOT BURN UP. BUT MY MY IN THE FALL AND WINTER.... WATCH OUT REAL FAST AND LOTS OF FUN..... GREAT COURSE TO PLAY..
GOT GREAT GOLF NOW DEAL .... AND PLAYED WITH CART FOR $18.
great course for the money.
I got a discount rate through golf now, so I only paid $28 for two and a cat. I would not pay anymore then that to play this course. The cart path is horrible for most of the course. The fairways were ok and the greens were good slow but good.
That being said it is worth playing if you live close enough to the course. There are a few holes that are beautiful, but the rest of the course is just average at best.

Decent course
The course was kind of fun but fairways were a little mushy and the greens were kind of slow. The layout was good for all skill levels

Great course and great value
The course was a great layout and a lot of fun. One of my favorite courses in the area. I will definitely return. My only complaint / suggestion would be that the course pay more attention to the greens and keep them cut shorter. The greens rolled true but they were very slow compared to other courses in the area. If the greens were cut shorter and kept a little nicer, this would be the best course in the area.

Golf course was in very good condition
Weather was great. The golf coarse greens ,fairways and tee boxes were cut nicely. Staff was friendly. Worth the money

Very nice course
I enjoyed this course. Out in the country. I was a single and played through my ne group of three on number 11. A little slow on front but only because I was a single player. Greens in good shape but a little slow. Fairways were awesome.

Great local find
We have a foursome that normally plays out of a neighboring community. We played this course as a change and were very pleased. Lots of elevation change. Holes are unique and challenging but fair. Not a long course but requires accuracy. Great greens. Firm but receptive and roll very true.

Fun course! Tough greens. Small and undulated makes putting challenging but fair. Do not take your putts for granted.

Can you land it softly?
This course was in great shape, especially the greens ( a bit slow but expected with so much moisture). But all the greens are elevated so if you don't get the ball high on approach expect to miss a bunch of greens.

A few issues
The layout of the course is fun and is challenging without being overly difficult. The condition of the course is pretty poor, especially the greens which were often covered with sand. There were a couple of things I found rather annoying. For one, there was no course map on the score card. Also, as far as I could tell, there were no distance markers on the course. I don't know if I've ever seen a course without 150 poles in the fairway. I had a GPS app on my phone that helped me deal with these issues, but if I hadn't it would have been pretty frustrating. I wouldn't pay as much as I did to play here again ($35).

This was a great experiance. i could play at my own pace because there was no one behinde me.
Fun Short Course
The golf course was in decent condition. Reminding me of your local small town golf course. The overall course has a lot of hills which is nice for a beach course which usually is very flat. The fairways are wide and most holes are short which makes vacation golf more fun. Par 71. Fairways were in good shape. The rough was a broad leaf grass which was tough to hit out of. Only complaint I had was that they just air rated the greens week ago but I had called them and knew in advance. They were rolling good no bumps but slow since they sanded them. Overall I would play again for the price!
