stay out of the water and don't hit over the green Photo submitted by fishinmission on 03/17/2013
Challenging course
This course is laid out nicely. The par 3 holes are long and very challenging. Although some of the greens had small patches of grass missing, due to the Cranes, they were still playable and in good condition The speed of the greens were medium and The fairways were in good condition. Overall a fun course to play. Can’t wait to come back and play it again.
Greens need renovation
The greens are in horrible shape and the whole course is somewhat neglected. No starter on a busy day almost caused a problem with some golfers
Poor greens
Unfortunately the greens need some attention here. They are slow and have some dead spots that have been filled in with sand. The areas that are however healthy are being beat up by golfers that don’t fix their pitch marks(come on guys).
It’s still decent enough to just get out there and have fun and avoid long pace of play and high winter rates that are elsewhere. There’s potential here and the course would definitely be better if the greens were a lot better.
Good value
The greens need a lot of work. Holes made by Sandhill Cranes.
Greens terrible
Over priced poor conditions course not taken care of
Poorly Maintained Greens, No Starter, Slow Play
I played this course frequently last winter and can can honestly say that course conditions have deteriorated considerably since then. When I arrived at the tee box for the 1st hole I found a long line of golfers in their carts and no starter. It was left to the golfers to work things out. After a late start the pace was slow and we finished about 5 hours later. There was no ranger to keep things moving. The greens were in horrible shape with many divots, some were filled in with sand, many were not..Some of the fairways were covered with leaves that should have been blown off. This further slowed the pace as it took longer to find your ball.
Really fun
Second time playing here. I read all reviews about how bad the greens are but they don’t bother me so much when I take into account the price, layout and overall condition of course
Definitely worth it but be aware weed killer damage to greens
Overbooking
We enjoyed our first time at Indianwood, liked the layout, some greens had a lot of bare patches.
However it took 3 hours to play 9 holes, obviously it was a case of overbooking
Greens in Extremely Poor Shape and no Covid Precautions Observed
This was the first time playing this course since last Spring. To start with last year everyone last year’s fee included the rental of your own golf cart. When I checked in with the starter, I was informed that I would have to move my clubs from the cart I was given and move them into another golfers cart cart. When I raised concerns about Covid and the fact that the fee was advertised as including a cart and not a “shared” cart he became arrogant and said there is no Covid to worry about. There also were no plastic dividers in any of the carts separating the driver from the rider.
Last year, I recall the course being in relatively good shape. This year I found the greens to be in very bad shape with large divots throughout every green. Putting around these divots proved very difficult.
Greens need work
Generally good, but many of the greens had many holes in them filled with sand. Not good. Good value for the money.
Challenging.
Difficult course. Lots of obstacles (trees, water hazards, and bunkers) with narrow fairways.
