Bad condition

The greens are beautiful but the fairways have weeds and sand pits. Maybe with some rain the grass will grown in the fairways

The only reason I gave this track an average rating is because of the Greens. They are a bit slow but surprisingly in Good shape, as compared to the rest of the course, a Goat Pasteur and Needs Alot of Help.

By using golf now’s hot deals at the lake, Wells country club you cannot beat the price for the quality. Of course you’re getting to play.

Greens were pretty good. Other than that, course was in bad share

We had a 12:52 tee time. Had a group of 30 they put in front of us. Teed off 1:30 behind a fivesome.

17 of 18 Greens were excellent doing repairs on one. Fairways are dry, sparse and hard.

I have played this course many years, never seen this course so bad. Greens nice a little slow, sand traps nice. Tee boxes, fairways couldn’t find much grass. New ownership seemed about 2 years did plant some seeds, starting looking better. Now just bad.

Can you keep up the maintenance get some water on the fairways the greens from us?

This Donald Ross course has a phenomenal layout but the condition of this course has deteriorated extremely. We have been playing here for the last three years. It’s getting worse every time we play. This course is worth saving.

Greens were decent, fairways were mostly dry grass, weeds and dirt. No cart girl. Staff in the clubhouse were very friendly. Lady in the bar needs to be replaced. She didn’t even acknowledge the 3 of us. We were gonna eat there after our round but after seeing how she talked to other patrons poorly and lack of attention towards us, we decided to eat in town. I’d recommended reaching for another $20 in your pocket and playing somewhere else. Definitely not worth anything over $25.

Nice layout. Staff are great. Greens are nice, fast and consistent. Tee boxes and fairways are rough and in some spots that’s being kind.General rule of thumb here is if the cost is under 80 bucks these are the conditions you will find.

I’m in a quandary here. What do I say about this place? Not often am I so torn about a golf course. This place has a beautiful design and layout. Beautiful. But it’s a crying shame the course and grounds are in such horrible shape. Lack of grass everywhere? Yup. Cement ground everywhere? Yup. Weeds and bald areas on most greens? Yup. Lack of grass on tees? Yup. This beauty needs new ownership that will have the deep pockets needed to shut down the course down for at least a year to do the necessary repairs that would make this place the gem that it truly is. Good luck LWCC! We will be back again in hopes to see that someone cares enough about you to allow others to enjoy this gem that it has the potential to be.

Greens were fine, difficult to find a good lie. But it must have been splendid in its day
