Links of Sandpiper
About
Links of Sandpiper in Lakeland offers a traditional links layout that sprawls across rolling terrain. The course is player friendly enough for players of all skill levels to enjoy but it has enough challenges for more advanced players as well. The course is anything but flat, and the ups and downs are the most challenging element you'll encounter. The small, undulating greens and narrow landing areas off of the fairways demand accuracy. Combined with elevation changes and strategically placed bunkers, proper club selection and course management also play important roles. Picking the right lines from the tees into the greens requires careful thought. You'll face a few blind shots thanks to the rolling terrain and there are also several bunkers strategically placed along the greensides. Links of Sandpiper's final four holes are the toughest stretch.

Good enough for the money
Overall, they let singles out a lot slowing down pace of play as they never grouped up. Course was in riugh shape from before, weeds growing everywhere and greens burnt out in many place's.
Poor condition
With not much rain last month the course was very brown thin lies a lot of the greens had bad spots it’s not a $35 course right now wouldn’t pay more than $20 for it and that’s being nice it was overbooked the day I played took over 5 hrs course needs some TLC with rain or they need to water more often at night
Greens were buried under sand. Fairways were mostly weeds. This used to be a nice track but it seems to have fallen on hard times.
This course continues to go downhill
So sad they put some money into the back nine a few years ago and it continues to go downhill. Shouldn’t say fairways, more like weed ways. Conditions are sad. I wouldn’t even consider buying a home there given the condition of this course.
Good for the money, currently needs rain
the ground at the course is currently very hard with very little green grass. I've played here at least 50 times, the greens are currently the worst I've seen in 5 years. The course is close to where I live so easy to get on quick and the cost is relatively inexpensive. Currently, desperately needs rain as the course doesn't seem to run water much.
Don't waste your money
This course is in very poor condition and jammed into a small parcel of land. Some of the tee boxes are in direct line of the group behind you? A bit crazy and no Marshall on the course had 4 guys in front of us with 3 open holes ? So like I said don't waste your money
Value but frustrating
We got off on time but we ended up behind a fivesome. These were obviously members and the course seems to tolerate this. There was no marshal at any time. Fortunately this group only played 9 and the pace was then terrific. We had not played this course for about 5 years and there have been major changes on the back 9. Those changes have made the course very tight and some of the holes were quite frankly unfair.
NOT FOR ME
VERY DISAPPOINTED. COURSE NOT AS GOOD CONDITION AS LAST YR. FW WERE BARE, GREENS VERY CHOPPY, AND 2 GROUPS OF 5 SOMES IN FRONT OF OUR GROUP. COURSE DID NOT CARE OF THE SLOW PLAY. NOT WORTH THE TRAVEL
Nice to play.
This links style course is fun to play. It is in good condition. Traps and tee boxes are in good condition. Greens are very good. A little fast. I'll pay again.
Not as good as it’s been
I like the course a lot. It’s not in as good shape as it has been. Some greens are a little beat up but they aren’t bad. Fairways are a little dry in some spots. Overall it’s in descent shape. Lots of pitch marks players aren’t fixing but that’s not the courses fault. It’s just a little below it’s normal but playable . We always enjoy it here.
