Links of Sandpiper
About
Links of Sandpiper in Lakeland offers a traditional links layout that sprawls across rolling terrain. The course is player friendly enough for players of all skill levels to enjoy but it has enough challenges for more advanced players as well. The course is anything but flat, and the ups and downs are the most challenging element you'll encounter. The small, undulating greens and narrow landing areas off of the fairways demand accuracy. Combined with elevation changes and strategically placed bunkers, proper club selection and course management also play important roles. Picking the right lines from the tees into the greens requires careful thought. You'll face a few blind shots thanks to the rolling terrain and there are also several bunkers strategically placed along the greensides. Links of Sandpiper's final four holes are the toughest stretch.

Decent to play
Fairways needs some TLC, greens decent. Back 9 tough to f you do not know the course. Staff was accommodating.
Sandpiper
Course is in very good shape, greens are excellent. Kudos to the maintenance team, every time I play here it seems that they have made small incremental improvements whether it’s to the course itself or the cart paths. Definitely recommend this course.
Sandpiper
Fun course a bit rough in some areas but didn't affect playability. Great value. I would recommend trying it
We will be back…
We had a good time playing here. Place was a little slow don’t weather delay and the two groups in front of us, but it was a fun course. The layout was a little goofy on the back 9, but for this time of year it was in fantastic shape.
Appalling, Drunks that want fight, No course Marshall, Super tight and poor course design.
Where to begin. First, the course is so congested and on top of eachother that there is a huge possibility of getting hit with a ball, in fact, on every hole 1-9 there were balls landing within 10 feet of me and my brother. This wouldn’t have been a huge issue if the pace of play was enforced, no course Marshall, and if people would yell fore! When we had said something to the golfers that kept hitting into us they threatened to fight us and got in our faces for asking them to say fore. I know you can’t judge a course for the types of people that play there, but when someone is threatening you and getting a foot from your face, you’d expect some sort of action taken by the staff. Nope! When I called the course phone number I explained our situation and they said that they would be out there and get it figured out, but the group that wanted to fight was behind us for the rest of the round, continuing to hit balls into me and my brother. There was no action taken to remove them or even move them to another hole. When you’re paying $40 to play at a course like this, It’s very disappointing that stuff like this happens, and as in other reviews, fighting with drunks seems to be the way this course is ran. If you are serious about your game, DONT GO HERE! For the same price and pace of play without the fear of rude people, go to Bloomingdale Golfers Club in Lithia which is about a 30 minute drive from Sandpiper.
Owner zero star
Owner met our party on whole number 18. And threatened to fight everybody in my party. Had a strong smell of alcohol. Even had a 13-year-old in my party. Kid was very traumatized.

Rude owner
Owner of sandpiper 0 star. Threaten to fight everyone in my party,if my party was in the wrong no reason for owner to keep yelling he would b..... Slap.... Us. actually left a previous 5 star review 4 years ago.just relaying my experience to the public
I was asked by my cart girl to help find carts not yet in after dark, I had just come off working with a tractor due to darkness, as we started out we met your group and I simply asked you to stop so I could ask if you all saw any other carts behind you - this somehow was offensive and off it went. I see a comment that a13 year old was present -I suggest that smoking weed in front of a 13 year old sets no good example - the smell was evident from 10 feet away, keeping carts out beyond dark is disrespectful to the workers who must clean them, the cart girl exited my cart and stood away and then she got back in the cart and left with me - she said zero to anyone.
Bottom line is smoke your weed and enjoy your golf elsewhere - you are not welcome back.
Sandpiper= good times
Sandpiper is an excellent course. Conditions are fair. Pace of play was great on a chilly December morning. It’s challenging but a good course and good value for your money. I always enjoy playing it! The restaurant/bar opens at 10:30am. Can’t beat that if you finish by 10:25am.
Hello and thank you for your 5-star rating! We're delighted you enjoyed your round. Please book another round with us soon, and thanks for choosing Links of Sandpiper!

We take customer feedback very seriously at our course. Please reach out to our team in the golf shop and tell us what's on your mind.
sorry to hear of your opinion, i can assure you a group of 8 is not permitted and we do have people in place to monitor such disrespectful actions , we have extended our tee times from the standard 7 and 8 minutes apart that all golf courses use to 8 and 9 minutes apart to speed play - we are sorry for what it appeared to be, but the residents are quick to call and we hope we are quick to react to any groups of that number that quiet frankly disrespect golf if attempting an 8
! see badgolf1234 ( again)- just stop with this please
