About
Links of Sandpiper in Lakeland offers a traditional links layout that sprawls across rolling terrain. The course is player friendly enough for players of all skill levels to enjoy but it has enough challenges for more advanced players as well. The course is anything but flat, and the ups and downs are the most challenging element you'll encounter. The small, undulating greens and narrow landing areas off of the fairways demand accuracy. Combined with elevation changes and strategically placed bunkers, proper club selection and course management also play important roles. Picking the right lines from the tees into the greens requires careful thought. You'll face a few blind shots thanks to the rolling terrain and there are also several bunkers strategically placed along the greensides. Links of Sandpiper's final four holes are the toughest stretch.

Ok for money
Very narrow course I can imagine how crowded when busy. The greens were in great shape, however several boxes and fairways on the back nine in very bad shape. Staff was nice had to check in at bar later in the afternoon on my tee time. Was an OK deal for the cost 50/50 on if I would play there again
Decent shape.

Nice course
Really enjoy playing this course. The course is well taken care of and in great shape. Though I don’t like being in them, it’s nice not hitting out of hard bunkers. The greens are fantastic for this time of year. I will definitely be making this one of my go to courses.

Good Track for Good Price
This is a go to course for me for last minute tee times because of location and price. The front nine and the first three holes on the back are solid golf holes. The rest are not my favorite. The greens were a bit slow but fair. The fairways were in good shape but the rough is a mix of various weeds and dirt spots. Overall, it is a fun course to play especially on off days when the crowds are less.

Rough
The rough needs some love but overall the course was amazing layout amazing fairways drilled great. Greens are super tricky they go from slow to fast the elevation makes it for a touch challenge. Be precise with your shots on the back nine and play smart if you don’t wanna loose balls.
Needs some TLC
The greens were good all day. The front nine was a fun layout. The back nine needs some work. They tried to pack about 6 holes into where 4 should be. Also, number 16 is bad. They stopped cutting the second fairway and that makes it really difficult for most golfers. Holes 12-18 are all right on top of each other, and it’s borderline dangerous. Seems like they built some new homes and they had to re route everything.
The staff was great, especially in the restaurant. I also liked that there were warm-up spots in a netted area. If you can’t have a range, that is the best way to go.
Please mow the course and it will be much better.
