About
Links of Sandpiper in Lakeland offers a traditional links layout that sprawls across rolling terrain. The course is player friendly enough for players of all skill levels to enjoy but it has enough challenges for more advanced players as well. The course is anything but flat, and the ups and downs are the most challenging element you'll encounter. The small, undulating greens and narrow landing areas off of the fairways demand accuracy. Combined with elevation changes and strategically placed bunkers, proper club selection and course management also play important roles. Picking the right lines from the tees into the greens requires careful thought. You'll face a few blind shots thanks to the rolling terrain and there are also several bunkers strategically placed along the greensides. Links of Sandpiper's final four holes are the toughest stretch.

Course looked good got a good deal on GolfNow I like what’s been done greens rolling true yes maybe the last 4 holes could’ve been done better but they had to make room for the new houses to be built overall it’s a good course to play

Great Saturday golf round
Majority of course is in great condition tee to green. Just some issues growing fairway grass on the back nine par 5 holes

Good play during repairs
1st time playing this course. The fairways, greens and, hazards in great shape, and the tee boxes were okay, with a few being a little beat up. The elevation changes are unique for a Lakeland course, and added a new wrinkle of challenge to my play that day. The 14th - 16th have some repairs happening, but it didn’t affect my game. The pro game me a “paper caddie” to help navigate to back nine, which helped quite a bit. I’ll definitely be adding this one to the rotation.

Played at 0915 on a warm Sunday morning. Had 9 foul mouthed, bad smelling buddies with me. The guy in the proshop was tops! The starter was terrific! Problem was, they were overwelmed. Apparently no other staff were onsite. They truly hustled to keep things going ,with a gooeverage cart? Nope. Ranger?Nope. Packed course? Yep. We waited on 18 0ut of 18 tee boxes. 18 of 18 fairways. And, you guessed it, 18 of 18 greens. Just short of 5 hour round. Course was in very good shape. Greens looked good, although a little slow. Was told mid round that they ran out of golf carts. I like this course and the price is right. The owners need more staff and maybe some carts. I shot my best score in 2 years.

Great Golf Course
Very nice course except for the 2 par 5s they were working on the fairways other than that, everything else was great. The greens were well manicured a few spots in the fairways need attention but other than that the course was great and the 19th hole was awesome after the round!

Good course to play at this time
Greens, aprons and most fairways in great shape,,Several “white” tee ares are showing damage from heavy play Three holes are back are being worked to increase fairway size. Great bar and restaurant inside

Greens are in great shape, some fairways are quite bare in places but it appears they try very hard to take good care of this course. Haven’t played this course in a while but will definitely try and play more often.

A WORK IN PROGRESS
MOST OF THE COURSE IN GOOD SHAPE. ALL GREENS GOOD. THERE ARE A FEW TEE BOXES THAT HAVE SOME BARE AREAS
THE TWO PAR FIVES ON THE BACK NINE HAVE SOME GROUND UNDER REPAIR AREAS WHERE THEY ARE TRYING TO INCREASE SIZE OF ONE FAIRWAY AND TO GET GRASS GRQWING IN THE OTHER.

Ok for money
Very narrow course I can imagine how crowded when busy. The greens were in great shape, however several boxes and fairways on the back nine in very bad shape. Staff was nice had to check in at bar later in the afternoon on my tee time. Was an OK deal for the cost 50/50 on if I would play there again

Nice course
Really enjoy playing this course. The course is well taken care of and in great shape. Though I don’t like being in them, it’s nice not hitting out of hard bunkers. The greens are fantastic for this time of year. I will definitely be making this one of my go to courses.
