About
Plantation Palms Golf Club, designed by David Harman, provides every Tampa golfer with a challenging and rewarding golf experience. The links-style design starts with a welcoming par 5, and then slowly steps up with a mixture of strong par 3s. Just 10 minutes north of Tampa, this course was carved a 400-acre citrus grove that slopes from west to east, providing interesting elevation changes. Water is in play on 17 of 18 holes. Plantation Palms Golf Club has an attractive framing of greens by the use of pine trees, water and large snow-white sand traps. The true-rolling elevated greens have good movement and are a challenge for golfers.

Overpriced
Driving range not open for our tee time, fairways were sparce and very wet,some areas were muddy. Off the fairway hardly any grass very wet area like playing off soft mud. Pace of play was slow greens were average.
This is not a 4 star course
This course looks good from a distance. However, when you are on the course it needs some work. Fairways were spotty & green were not very good. Although they were fast they need attention. The tee boxes were in better condition than the fairways. The layout of this course is very nice. This course is probably worth $30!
Abysmal Pace
The pace of play was worse than I’ve seen it ever before. I know the snowbirds are down here but etiquette has got to start being enforced. Guys hitting 3 and 4 balls off the tee 2 or three shots from same spot on the fairways meanwhile we are getting hit into hole after hole. This round was really rough there were times we had 8-9 minutes between swings
Best in the Area
Played this course for the second time today on my stay in Tampa. Definitely a favorite. Great carts, pro shop, bar, range and practice green. Wide landing areas, good par 3’s, green fairways- a tad thin right now, very good tee boxes and greens that hold. A very fun, fair and challenging track. Don’t miss if you are in the area. You will be glad you did.
I will be returning
I am an out of towner and jumping around playing different numerous courses. As far as course conditions,nice greens, decent fairways, good tee boxes and pace of play I’d recommend putting this on your list of don’t miss playing courses. It ranks up as one of the better and more fun ones I’ve played since being in the Tampa area for 2 weeks. Nice carts also made for a good experience. Good bang for your buck using the Tee Off app!
Nice course and good food after
Course playing really nice right now. Fast greens, nice Fairways and decent tee boxes. Layout is nice.
Stopped in afterward for some food and restuarant staff were very friendly. Food was served fast, hot, and delicious at reasonable rates
