Lake Worth Beach Golf Club borders the Intracoastal Waterway for just over a mile. There is no shortage of scenic courses in south Florida but this one still manages to stand out. Many of the holes run parallel to the Intracoastal, offering beautiful views and a cooling breeze. The golf course has a classic Florida layout. At just over 6,100 yards, it is not a long course but it still manages to feel like one. There is strategic bunkering along the greensides and water hazards come into play on a few holes. With generous fairways and no forced carries, it is accommodating enough for a range of skill levels but it still offers a fair challenge. The golf course offers a quick and challenging round for more advanced players but gentle enough for beginners.

Course conditions

The course had very poor drainage. There was constantly mud on the ball, and the fairways were very bare in spots, and the greens were like Velcro.!!!!

Good beginner course

By far the most beat up course I've played in the west palm area. Measuring just over 6000 yards from the tips, this par 71 is not overly complicated. Water comes into play on a few holes. But overall, rather straight and away. Tee boxes were uneven and worse for wear. Fairways were mixed, with some in great shape and others half dead. Most greens were in decent shape although a few were beat up pretty badly. Greens were also the slowest I've seen in WPB. Although there was a putting green, there is no driving range or chipping green. The putting green is rather worthless anyway since all the greens rolled different from each other. I honestly would not recommend this course to another.

Pretty cool

This course is a nice one that is not too expensive at this time with prices going up. It is not very long as the back tees are just over 6000 yds. But there are decent challenges that can make an easy hole rack up a double bogie and more if you are not careful.
