About
The Club at Venetian Bay is part of a unique residential community with a Mediterranean theme. Colorful buildings, mosaics, and Mediterranean vegetation surround the championship golf course. The biggest challenge for the designers was transforming what was formerly a cow pasture into a lush, challenging course. The design team of Clifton, Ezell, and Clifton seemed to have little trouble doing so. The front nine plays through the woods while the back nine is more open with a few links-style touches. The most prominent feature of this golf course is the abundance of sand bunkers. There are more than 100 strategically placed throughout. The bunkers present a formidable test but they are nicely balanced with ample landing areas. They are also geared more towards low handicappers, which means they aren't intended to kill your round.

Play here… great value
Played three times last week. Course in good condition, staff is friendly, great value for the green fee and good pace of play Also played Muni south and north and Jones at lpga. Those are great courses as well but this is the best value for the $$

The course has really made a green comeback! When I played it three months ago, it wasn’t looking good. And for the first time of all my years of playing golf at many different courses our cart girl came around five times in a 18 hole play. Never seen that happen before and it was awesome!

Fair Play
I live on this course. My neighbor and I play regularly and expect different pricing for winter months. What we don’t expect, however, is to be charged premium pricing when the course cart paths are undergoing renovation. The game of golf is difficult enough as it is and more so when you have to play around dump trucks, tractors (with back up signals blaring) and workers. To pay top dollar for the privilege during these adverse conditions just adds insult to injury. A little consideration would be greatly appreciated.
Great Challenges
The course provides great challenges providing the average golfer the opportunity to use every club in the bag.
The owners need to update the golf carts with more modern ones that provide GPS distance to hole; communication with the bar and restaurant; and auto stop when a golfer drives in out of authorized fairway / course locations.
