About
The Club at Venetian Bay is part of a unique residential community with a Mediterranean theme. Colorful buildings, mosaics, and Mediterranean vegetation surround the championship golf course. The biggest challenge for the designers was transforming what was formerly a cow pasture into a lush, challenging course. The design team of Clifton, Ezell, and Clifton seemed to have little trouble doing so. The front nine plays through the woods while the back nine is more open with a few links-style touches. The most prominent feature of this golf course is the abundance of sand bunkers. There are more than 100 strategically placed throughout. The bunkers present a formidable test but they are nicely balanced with ample landing areas. They are also geared more towards low handicappers, which means they aren't intended to kill your round.

Great Challenges
The course provides great challenges providing the average golfer the opportunity to use every club in the bag.
The owners need to update the golf carts with more modern ones that provide GPS distance to hole; communication with the bar and restaurant; and auto stop when a golfer drives in out of authorized fairway / course locations.
New England hills but with sand.
One of my favorite courses in the area. Rolling terrain so uneven lies. Wide open but protected by bunkers. While challenging it’s still very playable and lots of fun!
Did not expect a 5:45 minute round
The walkers were having a tournament. They tell you that when you check in. That's horse pooh. Tell me BEFORE i book it so i can pick another day instead of telling me when i arrive!
6 hour round....UGH
I had to quit on 14 because we were already 5 hours into the round. The course did not disclose a high scholl tournament which apparently went all day and backed up the entire course. If I would have known, I would have played elsewhere and not spent my time giving this review.
Nice course, but needs help.
Greens have bare sand spots, burned out areas are too common, this course needs help and it would be much better.
Good value play
Course was in good shape considering a hurricane went through 3 weeks ago. Greens had some rough patches, but overall 👌. Good speed to them.. Challenge to all handicapers.
Very playable and enjoyable.
Good condition, not the most difficult but still had it’s challenges.
