About
The Club at Venetian Bay is part of a unique residential community with a Mediterranean theme. Colorful buildings, mosaics, and Mediterranean vegetation surround the championship golf course. The biggest challenge for the designers was transforming what was formerly a cow pasture into a lush, challenging course. The design team of Clifton, Ezell, and Clifton seemed to have little trouble doing so. The front nine plays through the woods while the back nine is more open with a few links-style touches. The most prominent feature of this golf course is the abundance of sand bunkers. There are more than 100 strategically placed throughout. The bunkers present a formidable test but they are nicely balanced with ample landing areas. They are also geared more towards low handicappers, which means they aren't intended to kill your round.

Greens could be faster. Given the dry conditions it held up well.
Dry and Disappointed
The good - the staff were awesome. I was met in the parking lot and offered a cart. I was early - but as a single they paired me up and got me out early. Cart girl was all smiles and saw her several times. Carts were smooth and had GPS/Bluetooth. The bad - the course is extremely dry. With few flat fairways - shots would land and skip off to the sides with no grass to stop it. Iron shots were difficult because the ground was so hard. Greens had dirt/dry/sand patches on them. Lots of bunkers - many of them blocking greens. This appears to be a new community - but if they aren’t going to invest in caring for the course during the dry season - every year - then it could get worse.

Super course but some of the greens had sandy spots that may be healing.

Friendly staff, solid conditions and great value. Glad to have had the opportunity to golf here.
Great fun demanding layout
We had good pace of play. Right at 4 hours. Course is in good shape. The greens are a challenge and were a bit for wear but overall in very good shape. Had a great time and were paired up with 2 local players. Lots of fun.
Enjoyable
After reading some negative reviews my expectations were not high. A few patchy greens does not take away from a good layout with fast greens, good fairways and ok tee boxes. No complaints. If you're looking for perfect pay $300. Recommend this course.
Good condition
Place is in great shape. Greens are true. Maybe abit grainy uphill and in spots. Sand is hit or miss cost me a few today. Played after a tourney and flew around in under 3 hours
May 2 at Venetian Bay
Course was in very good condition considering the lake of rain we’ve had in Central Florida so far this year. Looked a little dry in some areas, but did not effect play. Greens were great except a couple of areas under repair. No one in front or behind us.
A Well Designed Course
Both the course and pace of play were good. This course gets a lot of play, so if you don't book first out, you may encounter slow play. Paying a little more to go out early is worth it.
Not worth more then 30 bucks
Tee box horrible. Greens horrible..
Would not pay more then 30 dollars..
They should offer driving range balls at least .
Love the layout..but they are not taking care of it

Friendly pro shop, starter and staff.
Course is a challenge with quick greens.
Very quiet golf carts with GPS tablet.
