The Club at Venetian Bay is part of a unique residential community with a Mediterranean theme. Colorful buildings, mosaics, and Mediterranean vegetation surround the championship golf course. The biggest challenge for the designers was transforming what was formerly a cow pasture into a lush, challenging course. The design team of Clifton, Ezell, and Clifton seemed to have little trouble doing so. The front nine plays through the woods while the back nine is more open with a few links-style touches. The most prominent feature of this golf course is the abundance of sand bunkers. There are more than 100 strategically placed throughout. The bunkers present a formidable test but they are nicely balanced with ample landing areas. They are also geared more towards low handicappers, which means they aren't intended to kill your round.

Great Layout

I have played Venetian many times. I have not been here for a few months. Unfortunately, the greens were not in good shape. Bumpy and slow for Venetian. Did not always putt true. But we felt that the fairways were in good shape. All in all, this is still a great course with interesting holes. If the greens were back to their usual shape, this course is a five. Winter has been tough for many Florida courses and I expect this course to bounce back. And extremely friendly employees. I'll be back.

A day at the Club at Venetian Bay

First time playing this course. It was a beautiful day, the pace was very good and the course is wide open. Greens showed a little wear, but were overall pretty good. I would recommend this course.

Greens need work

Greens were bumpy and sanded , lots of spots in the fairways were bare…I’ve seen this course in much better condition and was somewhat disappointed seeing the shape it was in today. Lots of rain coming in soon should help it along.

The greens

The greens on this course are absolutely horrible you're putting over fertilizer a lot of dead spots on the greens lot of weeds if you're trying to hit anything out of the fairways you're hitting up a hard pan it's just not a well kept course I won't play it again I'll go back up the road and play Cypress Head at least Cypress said you have grass and a fairways and the greens are beautiful
