About
The Club at Venetian Bay is part of a unique residential community with a Mediterranean theme. Colorful buildings, mosaics, and Mediterranean vegetation surround the championship golf course. The biggest challenge for the designers was transforming what was formerly a cow pasture into a lush, challenging course. The design team of Clifton, Ezell, and Clifton seemed to have little trouble doing so. The front nine plays through the woods while the back nine is more open with a few links-style touches. The most prominent feature of this golf course is the abundance of sand bunkers. There are more than 100 strategically placed throughout. The bunkers present a formidable test but they are nicely balanced with ample landing areas. They are also geared more towards low handicappers, which means they aren't intended to kill your round.

The greens
Well if you like putting on a green with a lot of crabgrass these are the greens you want to play but it's a nice course bring your own indoor outdoor carpet to putt on

Beverage cart
For the past month-and-a-half beverage cart only on the course for about 1 and 1/2 hours breaks down all the time the hottest days of the year they have no beverage carts I suggest everybody bring thrown in water and drinks horses too cheap to buy a good beverage cart

Today
Nice day on the course, play was slow. I am tired of people not fixing divots and running their carts through wet spots. Played with 3 young men and they had no golf etiquette, very seldom filling in divots and making deep cart tracks in wet area. People need to be more caring when playing.

Greens
We LOVE this course and usually the greens are great but the last 2x's we've played they are lumpy and bumpy.

Course was nice, greens were sandy.
I came to play a course that was new to me, to challenge the course. Although it was in decent shape, the greens were very sandy. Causing the ball to bounce around on the green when putting.

Wet and Slow
Pace of play on a Tuesday at 10 am was the worst I’ve ever been apart of while golfing. Obviously the course can’t do much about this it’s just unlucky. Course was soaked to the point where I felt bad driving in the fairway at times when no cart path was provided. Tee boxes are money, greens are slow but true. Maybe one or two greens that were roughed up or had patches. It’s average, under 40 bucks worth it other than that I felt a little disappointed after reading reviews that were all positive. Might be back, might start playing pickle ball, tough to tell.
