About
The Club at Venetian Bay is part of a unique residential community with a Mediterranean theme. Colorful buildings, mosaics, and Mediterranean vegetation surround the championship golf course. The biggest challenge for the designers was transforming what was formerly a cow pasture into a lush, challenging course. The design team of Clifton, Ezell, and Clifton seemed to have little trouble doing so. The front nine plays through the woods while the back nine is more open with a few links-style touches. The most prominent feature of this golf course is the abundance of sand bunkers. There are more than 100 strategically placed throughout. The bunkers present a formidable test but they are nicely balanced with ample landing areas. They are also geared more towards low handicappers, which means they aren't intended to kill your round.

Just looking for fun
Staff was all very friendly. Carts were clean. Course was in good shape. Greens were rough which is hard to understand with course being in almost total sunlight and all the rain that has been had. There were only two coolers I saw, and that DEFINITELY needs to change, or let people bring their own coolers. In this heat and in total sunlight w no water readily available can lead to very bad player reactions and medical issues. Never saw the cart girl until we were on 17 green. Had an 8:54 am tee time.

Have played this course 6 times in the last 11 days. Like the course but have never seen so many bug/ant/something borings in the fairways and greens. Doesn’t affect play in fairways but very distracting ion the greens. Odd!

Good Course
Having not played this course in over 5 years, I went online to see other reviews and was surprised at some of the bad reviews. If you are looking for a $150 / round golf course, this is not it. The course has some problems due to weather and lack of rain. I found the course to be in better than average condition and very playable. This is not a course for pros or scratch golfers, but rather an excellent course found in upscale residential communities.
The greens are rather flat, but large and offer a challenge.

The staff could not have been friendlier, from the cart guy to the staff pro, willing to answer any questions or suggestions about the course.
I came back two days later with another friend and found the same level of service. I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to enjoy a round of Florida golf!!.

My Favorite New Course in the Daytona Area
This course is as challenging as you want it, with five sets of tees. The greens were firm and fast; the fairways are plush. We played during the week (Wednesday), and our threesome of hacks finished in well under four hours. The pro shop is well stocked and everyone on the staff is friendly. Venetian Bay will become part of the permanent course rotation at our annual Daytona Beach golf vacation.

Sunday Round
Played Venetian with a few buddies and we had a good time. The layout of the course is fun and challenging but conditions and pace of play were not the best. Course was very wet from all the rain which is out of the course’s control but some of the greens were not in very good shape. The course used to be in much better shape but hopefully things get better. I think the price point doesn’t match the course, should be closer to $30-$35 instead of $50+

Going downhill
Played this course in 2020 on vaca and loved it. Went back 2 more times. This yr disappointed in overall course. Overall green conditions fairways conditions and tee boxes have gone down. Felt overpaying what you are getting vs last yr felt I was getting More that what I paid for
