The Club at Venetian Bay is part of a unique residential community with a Mediterranean theme. Colorful buildings, mosaics, and Mediterranean vegetation surround the championship golf course. The biggest challenge for the designers was transforming what was formerly a cow pasture into a lush, challenging course. The design team of Clifton, Ezell, and Clifton seemed to have little trouble doing so. The front nine plays through the woods while the back nine is more open with a few links-style touches. The most prominent feature of this golf course is the abundance of sand bunkers. There are more than 100 strategically placed throughout. The bunkers present a formidable test but they are nicely balanced with ample landing areas. They are also geared more towards low handicappers, which means they aren't intended to kill your round.

The front was closed due to aireattion. No mention of this on golf now. Stuck laying behind a 3some who were very slow. At the turn they asked if I wanted to join. They had no golf etiquette, many divots made and none of them used any sand in them.. these guys knew better but just didn’t care in my opinion.

What’s not to like- greens were in excellent condition, pace of play was 3:30 minutes, cart girl came by 3 times, staff is friendly and got us out early, and you are15 minutes from NSB if you want to spend the afternoon there. There was some maintenance being done on a few of the fairway bunkers but it did not impact play. The recent heavy rains did leave the front 9 wet in a few spots, but carts could travel without restrictions. The layout is straight forward and some holes on the back nine seem to repeat themselves, but all in all Venetian Bay provided a nice day of golf.

For the past month-and-a-half beverage cart only on the course for about 1 and 1/2 hours breaks down all the time the hottest days of the year they have no beverage carts I suggest everybody bring thrown in water and drinks horses too cheap to buy a good beverage cart

Nice day on the course, play was slow. I am tired of people not fixing divots and running their carts through wet spots. Played with 3 young men and they had no golf etiquette, very seldom filling in divots and making deep cart tracks in wet area. People need to be more caring when playing.
