TPC Treviso Bay
About
TPC Treviso Bay was a collaborative effort between Arthur Hills and PGA Tour player consultant Hal Sutton. Their mission was to create a golf course that will not only test your skills with your clubs but will also make you think. All of the holes on the layout require a unique approach, demanding that each situation be assessed differently. Golfers will have the opportunity to practice bump-and-runs, high fades, long shots, and difficult straight drives. The course is not particularly long but there are some lengthy par 4s that will appeal to long hitters. The longest of these is the 462-yard 16th hole, which features short grass off the tee and a well guarded green. Sharp short game skills are a necessity on this hole. Water hazards come into play around the greens on half of the holes at TPC Treviso Bay and there are numerous strategically placed bunkers throughout

It doesn't get much better than this course in Naples. It is after all a TPC!
We played this course twice and enjoyed it. It will be wonderful when they have a club house but if the golf is more important than the 19th hole then you cannot better this as a venue.
Excellent
Treviso is a great layout, excellent practice facility, and fast greens. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
tough, but fair on a very windy day
The staff was very helpful and knowledgable. Course was very difficult with 40+ MPH winds, but fair. 6400 yds and 141 slope. Price was good at $150 for a mid-morning, January tee time. Strongly recommend to anyone wanting a good challenge, especially if the wind is howling.
Not a Premium course experience
I have enjoyed many Arthur Hills designed courses but never played one where Hal Sutton collaborated and will avoid them in the future. The course is not really that playable or enjoyable as it appears to be "toughened up" to be a TPC course. Many lost ball tee shots, severe green complexes and large humpy greens. The course is not carefully groomed through the green and the range balls are old NXTs. There are many more difficult but playable choices in SW Florida for good golfers. The ambience is also not good as there is a half finished clubhouse so they use a trailer for the pro shop and weed filled empty lots throughout the course. On the plus side it was not very crowded so the pace was good and the staff was cordial.
Outstanding course and layout. Yardage book vs on-board computer is old-school but is true golfing.
I would rate Treviso Bay as my favorite course in SW Florida. A memorable layout on a course where the pros play.
Very good course in great condition. Not the "PGA Experience".
The place seems a little like it is being run by the senior class for a fund raiser for prom. They seem like they are trying hard but just not the level of professionalism you would expect.
What an awesome course...
Arrived early to be welcomed by friendly staff, didn't have to lift a finger other than open my trunk.
The range here is awesome with unlimited range balls included in round price, and they were pro V's, not your lame balls you get elsewhere. Large putting green and chipping green.
The course is beautiful and challenging. I was playing with some locals, and their course knowledge definately helped. Every hole was beautiful, no one hole was better than any other, just awesome. Even got to see some Gators in the water! Thankfully I didn't end up anywhere near them :)
Couldn't ask for much more! Would recommend to anyone
Fun, friendly experience on a really nice course!
Course and practice facility in great shape. Super friendly staff and very good pace of play. Multiple tee boxes made it easy to play a good course length for one's talents/preferences.
Great course.
Challenging golf course from any tee box. Friendly staff. No real club house, it's just a cement shell. Most annoying there was no marshall out on the course, so of course everyone was backed up behind a very slow 4some. Not good.
Watery grave
Lots of water! Two of us (8 and 12 handicaps) lost 12 balls between us. But very enjoyable.
Where's the clubhouse ?
One of the best conditioned courses we played on our annual golf trip to Naples. First time I've played on pasapalum grass. I was impressed with the firmness and pace of the greens. And, was pleasantly surprised by the thickness and greenness of the fairways.
We played the blue tee's and found it quite challenging. Would recommend white tees for 10 to 16 handicappers and above a 16, please move all the way up, because some of the forced carries can be quite intimidating on the long par 4's & par 5's.
Will definitely add to our must play list for next year. And, will look forward to a cold one on the balcony of the new clubhouse, overlooking the 18th green.
Great course play it now while you can.
A challenging track off the Gold Tees, plenty of water to contend with. Greens true and fast enough to worry about. Pace of play was good at just over 4 hours.
Carts are a bit antiquated but until the clubhouse is finished there's no cart room to charge up electric buggies. The clubhouse is still a year or so from completion but its the course you come for and you won't be disappointed.
Great grass, great greens....
In my opinion, one of the finest courses in SWFL. The paspalum fairways are great, and the greens are close to perfect. The layout is excellent as well, beautiful holes with just the right amount of challenge to keep the round interesting. The only shortcomings of this course are the facililities: the clubhouse is an unfinished skeleton awaiting completion. The pro-shop and 'snack-shop' are temporary, and as such are left somewhat lacking. The inside staff is as cordial as they have to be (no more), outside staff are very accommodating. The driving/chipping/putting range is also very nice, commensurrate with the rest of the course. In summary, this course is a real treat, and I would play it every week if I could afford it.
Like my own private course
I was at Marco Island for a week vacation with the family. None golf but me. I have played Treviso Bay with my golf buddies for a few years. Since I did not want to sit on the beach all day, I booked a round at Treviso. My tee-off was at 11:30. I virtually had the course to myself. I played two balls for the 18. I love this course. I may get another opportunity in September. If you have the chance, play it.
A great course
Lots of lakes and opportunity to lose balls but I enjoyed playing there
will play it again.
2nd time here. I drove 2 hours to play here. I'm a 17 handicap and like a challenge. It is a TPC course after all. Play from the "bridge" tees (combined tees) and was all I could handle. I'm not long. Excellenct shape, nice staff. do not be put off by very unfinished club house. I came to play golf, not look at marble floors and walnut lockers! Bring some extra balls; some holes are more unforgiving if you don't hit it in the correct place. Great greens. it was $150.in Jan. so I can't play it every week, but I'll be back.
A must do!
Pristine course with amazing layout. Had a really bad day when it comes to golfing but still enjoyed it 100%. Pristine practice area. Absolutely nothing to point at and say "this can be improved". If you go to Naples area this course is a must do! As a bonus you get to see alligators on several holes! :)
great facility and a treat to play
Great course and fair to all skill levels.needs a bit more signage between holes in spots and once cart paths are paved it will be a little more polished.Carts are a bit antiquated but serve the purpose.we were there for the golf and i was not disappointed. Once the clubhouse is finished it will be spectacular.
the above review should have been dated Jan. 21 2013. Sorry. I played there last week. - 2013
