Troubled conditions
First time playing here. Recent drought and heat has caused many greens to have trouble with grass conditions and weeds. Fairways are very tight with lots of weeds in most cases. With my Golf pass discount, I only paid $21 which made it more bearable. Range balls are included with the greens fee. But I will likely not play this course again until later in the fall.
Greens need some love
Overall course is in decent shape, but the quality of the greens isn't what it used to be. They need to put some time into getting the bare spots filled in.
A+
First time playing here, will definitely be back. Exceptional courtesy from the staff made our threesome feel like we were members! Tee boxes, greens were in good shape and fairways were great according to my playing partners...Sadly, I didn't get to experience many of them. Made it to the 10th green before the thunder and lightning got scary, and we had to get inside. Sat in the nice lounge to dry off and have a frosty beverage. Hope to get back here soon.
WHAT HAPPENED
Can't believe the decline in this course. Just a couple months ago it was great, now it's bad. Greens r terrible with crab grass all over.. Fairways only fair. Hope they have a turn around. I luv the course but not on this condition. How do u let the course go this bad.
Summerglenn
Greens, tee boxes were horrible shape now as concerned to March. Very disappointed
They had just rolled and sanded the greens so they rolled a little funky. Other than that place is in great shape
Great course for affordable price
Summer Glen has become one of our go-to courses as the staff is friendly, the price is affordable, and the course is in pretty good shape. The greens had punched and rakes, but the putts were not impacted too much. Should be really good in another week or so.
Not bad for the price
Because it has been so dry here the greens were rough on several holes. For the most part this is not a bad course for the price. Loved the hills!

They had just aerated the greens. Needless to say, the putting was very challenging. Overall, nice layout and pace of play.
Unfortunately pace was disrupted by slow play.
Usually a lot of fun. Like all courses making the winter / spring transition fairways were a little “thin” in places. We also played after recent aerification and sanding of the greens. Greens still putted true but slow. We knew those conditions existed before we teed off and were enjoying our round until the 7th hole when we ran up on a FIVESOME. We thought that they might let us through at the turn but they didn’t. We played a very slow back nine. The group had five bad tee shots on # 16 and finally offered to let us through with 2 holes left. We declined as we only had a par 3 and par five left. I don’t know if management allowed the fivesome to tee off on the first hole or not as maybe they went off as two groups and joined up together after they were away from the clubhouse. We saw a marshal on the course that must have noticed but he approached neither of our groups. At any rate, I still recommend this course. It will be really great if we can get a little rain
Post aeration round
Unfortunately, we played a few days after the course was aerated. Fairways were ok, some bare spots but not too bad. The greens; however, were - of course covered in sand. I've played many courses after aeration, and to be honest, I don't think it's going to help the greens all that much. They were not smooth (level) greens and I'm sure they would be after they heal from the treatment. The course layout was ok, the staff very friendly. I could be wrong the two weeks from now it would have been a much better round. We quit after 5 holes.
They just aireted greens but overall course in good shape.Would play again and recommend playing.
Nice Course
My husband and I really enjoyed ourselves. The course was in decent shape considering we haven’t had rain in a very long time. The employees were very friendly..especially a cart man who greeted us with delicious cookies!! Nice bar and restaurant which we didn’t use but it was very nice! Highly recommend! We actually went back the next day! :)
Great course
I recently played at SummerGlen and had a really enjoyable experience overall. The course is well-maintained, with fairways in solid condition and greens that roll true and consistent. It’s a great layout for both beginners and more experienced golfers
Fun course, very slow play
Slow play put a damper on an otherwise very pleasant round of golf. No Marshall to speed up play. We waited on every single shot for 18 holes.
It'll be back soon. The Fairways, greens, and tee boxes were overseeded for the winter months. During the transitional period when the rye grass dies off and the native bermuda grass "wakes up" there is always a period where things get a little rough around the edges. It didn't help matters that we entered county water restrictions right after the greens were aerified.
A little time and a little rain and course conditions will be back :)
