5Sep13 - I'm assuming the 40 days and 40 nights of rain here in the Panhandle has given the maintainers fits. The greens were 'shaggy' and just don't look good. They used to look fantastic but need some serious work to get back to where they were. The rest of the course needs some help; tee boxes are bare of grass in some places, the grass and 'trim' around the greens is pretty bad in a lot of places. Hard to believe they'll be able to get it ready for Q-School in time. The staff was very nice and let us tee off nearly an hour early which was great. I'd go back, but I wouldn't pay more than about $35 with the course in the condition it's in right now...

I have played at Hombre several times in the past and it is an excellent course. My ratings are based on previous trips.

The good course, nice layout, challenges your approach shots with out having to hit driver on every hole

Par threes are protected by water. Fun course to play. Blue and Black tees are in much tougher angle. Highly recommended!! Best fairways I've seen in awhile.

the course is very well maintained tight fairways and small greens. the course is fun but hard to score good. I have played the course a few times and it improves ever time.

It took us nearly 5.5 hours to play 18 holes. The card on the cart states that "Pace of Play will be STRICTLY enforced" or something to that effect, but that obviously was not the case. Other than that, the course was in great condition, the greens rolled smooth and true, and the layout was fun and challenging.

Keep the greenskeeper, but fire the pace-of-play enforcer.

It has been raining nearly everyday. The staff has done a good job under the conditions they have faced with all the rain. The course was in great shape considering all the rain. The course is always well maintained. The staff is always friendly and they do a great job.

This course lives up to the name "Good, Bad & Ugly"

We played the bad and the ugly. Despite the course being very wet from recent heavy rains it played pretty well. The only issue was that pace of play was slow but that was mostly due to (cart path only) and everyone having to walk all over to their ball. I would absolutely recommend this course to anyone but with a warning that it is very narrow in places and there are water hazards everywhere....bring your "A" game!!

Fun course but greens were in the worst condition I have ever seen. Couldn't even put on over half of them.

The course has a number of tees, and the staff make their recommendations. You would be well advised to take their advice!

Nothing bad to say about this golf course. Excellent fairways and greens. Little high on price in the mornings. great deals in the afternoons and evenings. Best kept course I played in panama city beach area. Did not get to play the Good course only the Bad and Ugly course. Fairways were perfect and the greens. Lots of water on this course.

Great deal at 13.00 bucks. Had to play nine holes called the Good twice.....Greens were pathetic. dead and bumpy with poor pin placement.

I played the bad and the ugly courses and really enjoyed it. The course is challenging with many narrow fairways and water hazards on most holes. It causes a player to think about club selection and shot location much more than a wide open layout. There were complementary range balls and the staff was super friendly. It's a pricey course, but for the quality of the course it's worth it. Play here, I definitely will again.

Went to PCB for vacation and played the Hombre in the afternoon. Course was in great condition. Has lots of water which makes it challenging. Will go back again the next time I'm there.

Love the peninsula green par-3 on the front. Water on many holes adds nerves and risk-reward. Beautiful sand in the bunkers. Classy pro-shop with luxury amenities.

Have played here in the past greens were in better shape, some of the greens had been plugged but overall still good course.

I usually play Bay Point Nicholas, have played Hombre a few times and the greens always in better shape than now

Nice mix of long and short par fours require a number of shots.

Played the Bad and the Ugly. The Ugly was Very Challenging. On both courses, the tee areas and greens really need work. Though they had been aerated and top dressed, they still needed additional attention. Even though some of the greens had been re-sodded, they need to be rolled to even them out. The fairways and rough were in very good shape.
