this is a solid 4 star track
I will play this course again. The course is clearly kept well. I can see where this has been a true test to play for the pge qualifying play.
Good value, relaxing golf.
This was a very good deal! We enjoyed the course - the par 3s are fairly long, and there's only one par 5, but it was well set up and pace was good, too. The staff was friendly, and the starter was very helpful. A great afternoon!
Course was in very good shape. The staff is friendly.
I believe for the price we paid from GolfNow.com, this was a bargain for a very good course. Staff are friendly. Course was in good shape with new seedlings coming in nicely on the Good course greens. Will play again.
Wish it was my home course.
This is a great course. They were in the process of over seeding so it was cart path only but even so the course was more than playable. Greens were fast but very true. Layout is very challenging. Interesting water hazards. We walked the course a couple of weeks ago when they hosted the PGA Q School so we really felt as if we knew the course. Could play this course every day
Decent course with usual Florida water hazards--but problems for me
first, I am disabled with significant walking impairment and they have no Handicap Flag system -second, they had just overseeded the course and it was strictly cart path only which was bad for me with the often very wide fairways---third, they had sprinkers come on at posted times and we got soaked with multiple strong sprinklers which got us on the 18th green (everyone ha d to pick up!!) at 4:20--not good when you tee off before noon with the slow play today---So I think they need a sensitivity training program for the handicapped and maybe these conditions could be posted on golfnow listing--made for a very annoying day---other than that, the course was interesting and in good shape with lots of water in play--but many wide fairways
Great course
Paid to play the Bad and the ugly.Had to play the Good instead of the Bad.I could of paid $17 if I wanted to play the Good.
Staff and course were great. The only drawback was the marshall who did not push the group we caught on the 11th hole. pace went to zero
The challenging layout kept us thinking on each shot. The greens were equally challenging. A great course....I can't wait to play it again.
The greens were burnt and very patchy
We had to play the same nine twice, and it was in poor shape, therefore would not do it again.
A must play using golfnow.com
PGA qualifier that is very close to PCB area. Forced carries make some holes more than a challenge but well worth the price.
Good challenge for all levels .
The "GOOD" 9 holes still have very poor greens. The damage from this spring has not fully healed. The BAD and UGLY tracks are in very good condition and only need to get speedier greens to be PGA level challenge.
Well maintaned, challenging course.
Freindly, knowledgable staff, at a well maintained, and challenging course. I enjoyed my round very much, and would return again at the next opportunity.
Water everywhere
Played the bad and the good. The bad was in great shape, lots of water so you need to know how far you hit your clubs. Fairly flat course but very demanding on shot making. The good course was getting work done on the greens. That course was so different from the bad. The fairways and greens appear to be a different grass. I will comeback a play the Hombre again but it will be the bad and the ugly.
Great value using golfnow.com hot deals
Friendly staff, range balls included, always try to play when in Panama City Beach.
Most of the Good is wide open and perfect for high handicappers
Great and nice staff. Fun to play ... 3 - 9's so you get to chose your own level of difficulty and pick the challenge level!
This was a fun course.
The Hombre features three 9's, the good, the bad and the ugly. Our deal was only for the good which we then played twice. A few of the greens were in bad shape. There were several holes requiring a decent carry over wetland and/or a lake. It should not be difficult to get over these trouble spots, but it does make you think about it. Overall it was a good beginner course, because it was never too crowded on that nine. It is nice to not have someone pushing you.
Nice course but tough
There is a lot of water on this course. It is fair, but tough. The conditions are usually very good. The bad and ugly courses are the most interesting but the most challenging. The good course is easier but still fun.
Great course you should play if in the area. Play all three.
I keep looking forward to the next time I get to play there. The better you learn the course the better you'll score.
Normally, a great course.
On the day of our tee time 9 of the 27 holes at the course were closed and at least another 9 should have been closed, possibly all 27 should have been closed. Some cart paths were a foot under water, fairways were unplayable a lot of the times, we were very disappointed.
Challanging course due to varied lay out
Course was ready for play dispite the massive amount of rain on 10/18/2010
