Nice course
I thought the advertisements for the course were a little over the top, but is was a nice course. It was a nice challenge and is worth the money with a Golf Now discount.

Dry Winter play
This golf course is always challenging so finding it this year in somewhat dry winter conditions was a great benefit.
Greens are fast and the pace of play was good so all in all a very enjoyable round of golf.
The clubhouse is currently undergoing renovations.
Bad/Ugly
My husband and I played Hombre Bad/Ugly on a chilly winter day. The course was in really good shape considering the time of year. Fairways were plush and greens were in good shape. Course was kinda soggy from recent rains but you still had roll. Course has water on 14 of the 18 holes which makes it challenging. I was pleased to have shot an 88 considering I managed to 4 putt one green (par 3 ouch) and managed to chunk 2 in the water. All in all a good day on a nice course. Girl in the make shift restaurant area must have been in a foul mood and the cart girl wasn't any better. Only complaint I have.
Greens need improvement
Like the layout, but the greens were in poor shape
Good deal with Golf Now
This is a nice course not the longest. You better bring your A game lots of water & you better place your shots or you will find lots of trouble It was a little wet, not much roll.I find that golf is a lot about who you play with On that score I had a enjoyable day.
I will play here again for sure!
New Year's Eve
Found competitive rate so gave it a try. Difficult course so pick the right set of tees. Got paired with a couple of great guys and had an enjoyable day. There had been lots of rain but the course was still in good shape. Staff was very good.
Expected better value
Based on the rave reviews, reputation and greens fees, I expected a pga tour quality course. Instead I received washed out bunkers and poor drainage, marshals who indicated that I hit into the group ahead, a maintenance crew still preparing the course at 10 in the morning, thin fairways and pocked greens. The starter was very friendly, it had rained a ton a couple of days before, and it was the off-season, but c'mon. If I pay for a higher quality course, I expect better service and better conditions.
cold day in Florida
Probably a much nicer course on a much warmer day...but the Irish coffee at the end of the round felt great! Pretty much target golf...be careful of a drive on some of the dog legs...
I would like to see the restrooms better cared for...

Needs Help
Used GolfNow.com for our reservations, for the Bad and the Ugly of the three nines available, the "Bad" course was closed so we had to play the "Good" and the "Ugly", Looked to us the "Good" should have been closed too, greens in bad shape and a lot of fairways looked to need water.
Control
You have to control your golf ball both direction and distance or it will be a long day. Play up one set of Tees from your normal location.
Poor condition
This course has seen better days. The greens and fairways were in terrible shape. Was definitely not worth the money. Plus I booked on golf now and when I arrived to check in the price was a lot less than on golf now.

Great course, very well keep and tees to accommodate anyone. Liked that the greens were not elevated.
Beautiful Course
This course had everything. There were snapping turtles, alligators, holes with "risk reward", great practice facilities you name it. I actually played 27 holes...Good/Bad/Ugly in that order. Each course gradually got more difficult. My only complaint was pace of play was somewhat slow.

Very nice course. We had a great time! It was very well maintained.
Trip to the Emerald Cost
The course allowed someone to jump in front of us before we made the turn, and these held us up from the 11th hole up all the way..
No sand (hardly any) up in the bunkers. I could understand if it were Midwest but being on the coast, there should be plentiful sand..
Greens were relatively slow than I am used to.
Not a walker-friendly course.
