HOMBRE WAS HOLDING A TOURNAMENT, HAD TO WAIT TO TEE OFF. ASKED TWICE WHEN TO START, NO STARTER AND GOT IN LINE WITH SEVERAL GROUPS. SNACK SHOP WAS CLOSED AT TURN, WENT TO TEN TEE AND CHECK RADAR ON PHONE. A STORM WAS CLOSE, WENT TO CAR AND STORM HIT WHILE UNLOADING. NOBODY FROM HOMBRE ANYWHERE.

I've wanted to play this course for years....but we've always stayed in Destin and we did not want to make the drive. THis year...we stayed in Panama City Beach so I finally got to play The Hombre. Great Course...and challenging!!!!!! Water on 21 out of the 27 holes. You can't always hit driver.....you need to play target golf on some holes...and I like that thinking aspect, of this course. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. I will definitely visit The Hombre again.

Course puts a premium on shot making which I really like. Several risk/reward holes that make your round interesting. I will definitely place this course again and everyone was extremely friendly.

You can expect a friendly staff and a beautiful course, and that is saying something with the heat and lack of rain this year.

The Bad was in great shape. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens were nice. The Ugly course had some issues with tee boxes and greens. Some were in pretty rough shape. Overall a good course to play and I will definitely play again in the future.

Course was in excellent shape and very challenging. I can not wait till next year to play on vacation.

The course layout will force you to use practically every club in your bag. Pace of play was great. Fairways are in great condition. About 65-75% of the greens are grown in and nice. Some still have sand applied for top dressing, but pins were in locations to minimize. Once the greens are all grown in, this course will be an excellent choice to sharpen your game. One small drawback is part of the course winds through some neighborhoods and tee boxes are tucked close to their back yards. Be ready for an occasional shout or loud chatter in the middle of your backswing. :-)

Greens were still recovering from getting punched, but we're pretty rough looking. Some to the tee boxes were pretty beat up as well. Overall, not a bad deal, but wouldn't pay the $60 normal price to play again.

The greens were absolutely horrible . They were just sand and no grass with big patches with holes in them . There was no notice for aeration do I think they have lost the grass on the greens . Also we have beautiful white sand here at the beach and they have dirt less than an inch deep in all the bunkers . It was like playing out of concrete in the bunkers . I think they are letting the course go with no maintenance . The nicest part of the course is the driving range .

I'm careful about rating course conditions 5 stars because of some places I've played. The greens here are magnificent and the fairways don't have a single dry dirt spot. The driving range and practice range were in as good condition as the course itself. And it was all for a reasonable price for a course by the beach.

Great course. You could tell greens had been aerated recently, but ball rolled pretty true. Very tough course, esp greens on the ugly. Will play again

Amazing course. Fantastic staff. Course has a lot of water and is very challenging, so make sure you take enough balls.

Golf in Panama City Beach is way overpriced. This course is better than some but nothing to be that proud of. Thanks to Golf Now to make it reasonable.

I have played the Hombre for several years and it is always one of the highlights my trip to Panama City .

paired with a couple of beginners - made for a very long round - greens were ok but had been punched couple of weeks ago so were somewhat bumpy

Very challenging course. Course was in good shape except for the greens. I understand they were just recently aerated, but for a qualifying course for the PGA they definitely need improvement besides aeration.

Always a challenging course. Fairways in fair condition, tee boxes in bad shape, greens recently plugged….still very slow and bumpy. Paid $36, normally $80…good price but still really takes the fun away when not in good shape.

We were not told the greens had been punched at the clubhouse when paying our fees. We were charged the full local players price. The greens not only had been punched but there was hardly any grass on the greens. They were not playable on the Good course. We went to the Bad course, expecting it to be better but found worse. The greens did have thin grass but about an inch long and the greens had also been punched. The greens were unplayable. 70 %. Of the Tee boxes on the Good course had no grass where the Tee markers were set. The Bad course was about 50/50. I would not pay any amount to play this course in the near future.

Three nine hole courses. The "good" course wasn't what we signed up for but due to reconditioning the "ugly" course we played the good and the "bad". The good course was not up to par (no pun intended) the fifth hole wasn't marked well and it took us a few minutes driving around to find where it was. Poor signage. The"bad" course was tough and great to play. Wish we could have played the "ugly" which is the course we wanted but it was shut down. Hard to see how they do the q school here.
