Crane Lake
Course is in great shape, tee boxes and greens excellent. Paid only $15 for 18 holes with car through Golfnow.com. Only negative is four par threes on back 9, on alternating holes.
very friendly staff
course is always in great shape and you run into nice people
Deceptive, but enjoyable.
Although the course is a par 66, it will challenge you as much as any championship course you play for twice the money. Lots of water and doglegs to make you think on every shot. Fairways and greens are in excellent condition.
Lots of water, challenging, yet fair
Found this course to be lots of fun. Played with my wife with a not rushed pace and still finished in less than 4 hours. Very well maintained, and we will play this course again when in the area.
Very nice course.
The course was in very good condition and the staff was very helpfull and accomodating.
great condition!
Ive played this course a lot over the years and it has always been in decent shape but I don't recall it ever being in this great condition. I know they have a new director of golf so maybe they upped the maintanence budget. Whatever the reason the course is well worth the money.
Great shape.
The course is in immaculate shape for late summer. The greens are fantastic and well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. Some changes have been made since my last visit, holes lengthened, and some of the holes have became quite challenging. Lot's and lot's of water hazards.
My New Favorite
My New Favorite course - a little bit of a drive for me but we'll worth it! I live sort of close to Victoria Hills which is just as sweet. The greens were some if the best I've seen - do not pass up a chance to golf here. Course is a little short but the majority of us are hackers and this suits our style of play. You can brag you shot 80-85, no one has to know its a par 66 ;-)
Fun, fast play
Play was extremely fast we played in 2 1/2 hrs. course was in great shape, greens were fast.
Excellent conditions
The course was in pristine condition. The greens were great and rolled nice and quick. The fairways and tee boxes were great also. This course is not full length only a par 66. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars were the amount of grounds workers on the course. They were on nearly half the holes and didn't always clear the area. That is the only negitive thing I could say about this course.
water every where
The name is correct--Crane LAKES. Water everywhere but not too difficult to play around. Course was very well maintained and we were not rushed. The holes, though, are on the short side with a number of par 3's and even the par 5's did not seem that long. Enjoyed playing though and well worth your time.
Good use of water hazards.
Pristine course. Excellent use of water hazards. Shots must be accurate, not too long or short, and straight. Greens and fairways are plush and well maintained. Makes up in layout for shortness of distance.
good executive course
Upon arrival pro shop staff were friendly. Carts were like new, faster than most. Course superintendent and staff keeping course in superb condition. Good amenities such as clean bathrooms and ice available on the course. Short course, yet nice layout makes it enjoyable. Looking forward to my next visit to Crane Lakes.
Excellent course and well maintained
This course is one of the best courses that I play in the Daytona area. It has huge greens that are fast and in excellent shape. There is a lot of water but not may bunkers. During the summer, a twosome can play a round in 2 hours. The staff are professional and friendly. Recently the club pro won a PGA tournament.
Very challenging, but very pleasant.
A very challenging course with lots of water. Conditions are very good. Everything is neatly trimmed and has a very pleasant atmosphere about it. Fun.
