Golfer Reviews
I have been playing golf since the 60s and Crane Lakes is the most meticulous, well maintained course I have ever played.
Tough little course. Great shape and have to keep it in the fairway.
Big greens, and roll true.
Short course but challenging and fun. Do yourself a favor and buy a yardage book before playing. The balls you will save will be worth it. Beautiful course in great shape.
Water Water Everywhere
This a a short but demanding course with water in play on most holes. The greens are fast but roll well. Distance is not a problem but you must hit it straight or a big number can be made on any hole. My wife and I played here on Friday 1/6/17
the course was in good condition . Pace of play was a little slow, but we enjoyed the round. After playing here for the first time i would come back and play it again.
Nice short course
The course is fun with 6 par 3 holes, but water comes into play on every hole. Expect to lose some balls. More of a target course.
Surprise
The course is very short, but water is a deciding factor on most holes. The greens are large and undulating and fast. Local knowledge is a must.
Great course
Not the longest, but always in great condition with fantastic greens. Staff is also fantastic. It is way more difficult than the yardage would suggest.
Great course
This is a great par 66 course with super par threes, I like this course.
8 Par 3's
I should have researched further before booking the tee time, although there certainly is a significant degree of difficulty due to the ever present water hazards, 8 par 3's is way too many. The course and greens are in good shape and there are two really difficult and challenging holes and many strategically placed trees along the fairways. No one on the course when we played in the AM. Nice course and layout except 8 par 3's!!!
excellent course
This was our first time playing this course. It was absolutely beautiful and the best condition we have played all year. We would definitely recommend this course. Aesthetically beautiful, as well.
Best course in town
Crane Lakes is by far the best manicured course in town. A shorter course for sure, but can very challenging for the white or blue tees. My favorite course.
Crane Lakes
Excellent smaller course although there is a lot of water, so bring lots of balls or a retriever.
Très beau terrain le Crane Laki
j'ai aimé mon expérience à jouer sur ce terrain. Beaucoup de défi et demande de la concentration. Très beau desing. Bravo
Always in good shape...
Don't be fooled by par score... always interesting with the water which is plentiful but not necessarily in play most of the time... that is unless you bring it into play!
I'll always go back for more.
Outstanding Greens
Overcast day with a stiff breeze made for a quick round at this course Crane Lakes has always been known for maintaining its course well, but I was impressed with the rolling of the greens. Not a blemish could be found and they played true and rather quick. The fairways, bunkers and tee boxes were also in terrific shape. I look forward to playing here again in the future.
