Cypress Head Golf Club
About
Cypress Head, an Arthur Hills design, is a blend of holes and styles, a layout of two distinct nines that impress players through different means. At 6,805 yards from the tournament tees, the course is not a beast (there are three alternative sets to choose from).
The first nine is the highlight at Cypress Head. These holes take on a variety of shapes and strategies with little repetition.
It features multi-tiered undulating greens and preserved wetlands with water coming into play on 14 of the 18 holes. The 14th hole is a 478-yard par 4 over water that comes into play off the tee as well as the second shot to the multi tiered green.
The Golf Club also features a lighted driving range and practice facility. Two practice putting greens, a target green and sand bunkers for honing your skills before taking on the challenges of the course
With its' superb conditions and beautiful wetlands setting, Cypress Head is a public club that offers a private and tranquil experience.

Would play again when course is dry.
Beautiful course and layout. Greens ran pretty fast. However due to all the rain the past couple weeks the course was still wet and muddy and they only allowed car path use. So had to walk a lot from and too ball. If you took the wrong club then it took even longer. That made the pace of play slow making it a longer day of golf than expected. But I would definitely play again when the course dries out.
Great course
Course was enjoyable to play. Great layout. Course was very very wet, but cart path only allowed the course to dry out and not get ruined by carts on course. I’d like to play again when the course is dried out.
Waterlogged fairways.
We have played here several times in the past. I would rate it as a much better value than the LPGA courses. However the amount of rainfall in the past two weeks left many of the fairways waterlogged. 3 holes on the back were cart path only. The front nine was better, but rollout was still limited. The greens were in top notch condition. Overall it was an enjoyable round and we look forward to playing again in drier conditions.
Great course and layout
Totally enjoyed the course, staff and the ease of this place. Some great holes and totally worth the $$. We will be back.
Thread the Needle!
My favorite features of this course are the two par 3's that allow you to thread the needle between trees to attempt a green lie and the hilly fairways.
Always a great time
My girlfriend and I got paired up with a single and we shared a lot of laughs and had a great Sunday. When I booked our tee time there was an alert that the greens had just been aerated. A little bit sandy but still very playable greens. Patty brought that beer cart around often and everyone stayed hydrated! ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
A Nice Surprise
The fam and I are staying the week in NSB and I wanted get a round or two in, but I wasn’t sure where to play. I went out a day before my tee time to check out the range, and putt a bit. They have a solid practice area. I arrived about an hour and a half before my tee time the following day to get some practice in. The starter asked me if I wanted to go out 30 minutes early, so I got paired with a single and we started off #10, and played that 9 in under 1:20. The course was in pretty good shape, the greens were a bit fuzzy, but they stilled rolled ok. The only thing was the silly pin positions on a handful of greens. Some were on the side of a hill, I felt like all they needed was a clowns mouth or a windmill to putt thru. But, for the money it is definitely worth it. If I lived around here I’d frequent this track because it’s definitely a good challenge with some long par 3’s, and risk reward par 5’s! Check them out if you get a chance!
Great layout and Friendly Staff
The course is a great layout with a nice variety of holes. Unfortunately, the course received a lot of rain the night before we played, and it was still very wet out there. Drives plugged in the fairway and it was hard to find a firm lie in the fairway to play from. Greens were somewhat slow, especially on uphill putts. Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back, hopefully when weather conditions are drier and a little cooler.
Great Value
Been a few years since I've played this course, will not wait that long again. Was in terrific shape, greens were great. A super value and a fun layout.
Rain check??
My father and I played today and I made a reservation using the GOLFNOW app. Our reservation # was 335297775. We were only able to play 9 holes before the rain, thunder and lightening forced the course to close. We are interested in finishing our round tomorrow, 7/6/2020. When we asked the pro shop they said we should contact GOLF NOW and this is the only contact option available. Please let me know what our options are.
Thanks
Wet Season
We were told by a NSB locals we were paired with while playing LPGA Hills yesterday that we should cancel the round today at Cypress Head as the rain will have filled up the “swamp”. Well I am so happy my wife and I played today. We were Cart Path Only like all the courses in the Daytona and NSB area. From the Blue Tees I shot a 36 on the front and 40 on the back. The greens were fabulous! My wife from the Red Tees shot a 43 on the front and 42 on the back. The course drained very well and with greens rolling to an 11 stint, wow we very were impressive. We are members at the Ritz Carlton Grande Lakes in Orlando. That may give you some perspective from my viewpoint. Great job to the greens keeper, course maintenance crew, and management! Tommy & Margaret.
Great layout
This course has a great layout and is a challenge for all skill levels. It was in very good shape when I played it. I think it is one of the best public courses in the Daytona Beach/Port Orange area.
Freshly punched
Greens were punched and sanded. No GolfNow warning. Give it a couple weeks, the layout is a lot of fun, everyone is always pleasant and accomodating.
