Cypress Head Golf Club

We were told by a NSB locals we were paired with while playing LPGA Hills yesterday that we should cancel the round today at Cypress Head as the rain will have filled up the “swamp”. Well I am so happy my wife and I played today. We were Cart Path Only like all the courses in the Daytona and NSB area. From the Blue Tees I shot a 36 on the front and 40 on the back. The greens were fabulous! My wife from the Red Tees shot a 43 on the front and 42 on the back. The course drained very well and with greens rolling to an 11 stint, wow we very were impressive. We are members at the Ritz Carlton Grande Lakes in Orlando. That may give you some perspective from my viewpoint. Great job to the greens keeper, course maintenance crew, and management! This course has a great layout and is a challenge for all skill levels. It was in very good shape when I played it. I think it is one of the best public courses in the Daytona Beach/Port Orange area.

Greens were punched and sanded. No GolfNow warning. Give it a couple weeks, the layout is a lot of fun, everyone is always pleasant and accomodating.

The course was in great shape. These were some of the fastest greens I’ve ever putted (mid May). On top of the fast greens, they have a lot of undulation. So three putts were plentiful. A lot of forced carries and water on 14 of the 18 holes. I would not recommend this course to a mid or high handicap. If you’re looking to get punished, go for it. But there are dozens of golf courses in the area that are a lot more fun to play.

Decent course to play now and then. The overall condition was good. Greens were good and running medium speed. The manager was a bit of a jerk, told us there was a beverage cart so we could not take our cooler. Didn’t see a beverage cart all afternoon and was very thirsty. My advice: sneak your cooler in just to be safe. The rest of the staff was very nice.

The course was very well maintained. The tee times seemed to be spaced apart just right as we were not playing on top of each other and never felt rushed.

This course was also very challenging and was laid out very well.the price was very reasonable compared to others in the area. I will definitely be going back.

This is the second time we played here and both times the staff was extremely rude. They get upset because we paid less.

We have played this course several times. It is one of the top 3 courses in our area that is a favorite.

The course was in good shape. T’s and greens were very nice. They are being very cautious with the virus. I plan on returning.

I’ve heard it said that if you play a course and use every club in your bag (14 the max in my bag) you have played a great golf course... I used every one and hit the majority of them well... shot 74 from the whites today on a blustery but sunny day... will soon return !

We pull into the parking lot and the cart attendants were there to meet and greet us. Go into pro shop and the lady at the counter had surgical gloves on because of the Corona virus. She was very accommodating. Gave 2 of use free range tokens. The range was ok, the putting green was pretty good ( remember it's March). We started on the back and was impressed with the layout. It was the best course that we played while down at Cinnamon Beach area. Would return to play again when in the area.

played from senior tees. Target course from there. Type of course that rewards accuracy rather than distance. Several interesting holes that require thought. Excellent golf course!

Thoroughly enjoyed playing Cypress Head golf course this afternoon. The layout is outstanding.. No two holes are alike,. All are visually appealing Water and sand comes into play on many holes, but the fairways are plenty wide enough enabling an average golfer to stay out of trouble. The tees, fairways and greens were all in very good condition for this time of year. I will definitely return to Cypress Head. Give it a shot you’ll be.glad you did.

Great day of golf

Me and my brother arrived in Florida last night we picked this course because it is close to our condo and we always like playing it. Today was no exception weather conditions were perfect course is in great shape it played very well. We had a lot of fun. The staff and help are always very friendly. Give it a try you won’t be disappointed. We will be back several times during our stay.
