Best course on the area
Great roll on the greens and nice, well kept fairways. Really enjoyed layout with plenty of traps and wateter to keep you honest. Some tough pin placements but that was fine. Staff was friendly. Pace of a play when we played it n mid afternoon was quite slow.
Slowest Pace Ever
This was my second time playing this course. The first time there were no problems and really enjoyed the greens. This second time because the course was even drier than the first time the greens would not hold many shots, even high ones. A number of pins were set in extreme locations making it impossible to stop a putt. The biggest problem though was the pace of play. We quit after the 11th hole and 3 hours playing. The ranger made an attempt to correct the situation but was yelled at. The group in front of us was often taking more than 10 minutes to putt.
Always enjoy this course
Very windy the day we've played but that has doesn't effect our appreciation of thus course
Great course always.
Great course to play for all skill levels. Fast greens always in great shape. Tee boxes need help.
GREAT PUBLIC GOLF COURSE
Excellent day at the course!! We went out as a twosome in front of everyone else and finished in under 4 hours. Course was in great shape, wide open fairways that allowed for some leeway on errant tee shots. Greens are very very fast and difficult to read, in good condition just very difficult to to putt for the average player. Lots of fun; highly recommend for average golfers looking for a nice affordable golf course.
The course is basically flat and open with a few holes with tight shots The greens are fast and unpredictable, if you miss the hole the ball rolls out. You are never rewarded for good putt . Getting to the green is fair however the green are ridiculous for the average golfer.
Nice course for the value
St. James was our first round of our winter vacation. We were a threesome following a foursome, with a twosome behind us. My playing partners were my husband and brother in law. We really enjoyed our round, the staff were all great and welcoming with the exception of the ranger who creeped around us constantly on the back nine! I have never encountered such a hostile ranger before. It was a crowded day, we were never behind the group in front of us, yet he kept telling us, to keep up. We finished our round in 4 hours and 5 minutes. His demeanor was enough to make us not want to return.
Great Time!
Friendly staff, challenging greens, course is in good condition with a great driving range, putting and chipping area. 19th hole does not stay open they close by 5 p.m., suggestion they stay open later.
Good greens
Friendly staff and fairways. The greens are in great shape with plenty of challenges. Definitely worth the money.
Slow slow slow s l o w
Decent course but pace of play was way too slow. They had a ranger that seemed to just drive around. Too bad because greens are good and not a bad layout.
Monday golf
Staff friendly . Greens fast and smooth. In good condition . A fun day and a good value. Placed with a threesome of good guys . Enjoyable.
Short grass
Grass on the fairways too short, difficult to hit iron shots. Green are perfect and lightning fast.
SUB PAR COURSE
If it was not for the BEST greens around this course is well a SUB PAR COURSE. Nothing special except the GREENS fast and true. Played as twosomes and followed a slow threesome all day long. Wide open course that needs maintance on tees, bunkers and fairway. Over priced because of the SNOW BIRD season $50.. way to high.
Great greens but....
Greens are true and fast. The tee boxes are not ready for prime time. Most tees are short on grass and many are not level. Golf is hard enough without downhill or side hill lies on the tee.
Course is still a great value.
I have had some almost 5 hour rounds there - the marshals need to better address pace of play.
