The Florida Club
About

Throughout your tour of the course you will see wildlife and pristine natural habitats maintained at Audubon standards. The greens are well known for their condition, speed and ample size throughout South Florida.
There are GPS navigational System on all golf carts, a full Service Pro Shop, two practice bunkers, two practice greens and eighty yards of turf teeing ground on range
Designed for all playing levels, the course is both challenging to a low-handicapper and enjoyable for the weekend golfer.

Fantastic golf experience
Played The Florida Club for the first time with a friend. We were able to play a full 18 even with a 3:33 tee time on a Sunday. Course conditions are absolutely amazing for the time of year and cost to play. Greens were fast, smooth, and full of interesting undulations. Collars and approaches were firm and tight, and even looked to have been edged consistently to maintain their perimeters. Course surrounds are beautiful and even on the occasion where homes are visible, the landscape along with the depth of the lots keeps the course feeling forgiving off the tee. Can’t say I have been this impressed by a course in years and can’t wait to come back. Huge thanks to the friendly staff and hard working people making this one of my new favorite courses
Robert Leyden
Course in very good shape. We waited a couple of times but played in 4 hours.. not a big selection in Pro Shop but we did come to play golf and all had a great time
Everything was great, but
We played on March 12, 2023. Really nice course and well manicured.! Unfortunately there was a golf ranger who was aggressive, rude and incompetent. He told us that we were behind and should hurry it up. As a foursome we played both both front and back 9 in 1 hour and 55 minutes for a total of 3 hours and 50 minutes! Didn’t need to be treated as children for playing the round in under 4 hours. As a golfer, one knows how annoying it can be and how it can effect your mood while playing with a rude, ignorant club employee! I hope that he is reprimanded and taught the game of golf or just plain old fired! Otherwise, we would definitely play again.
Doesn't Honor 24-Hour Cancellations
I cancelled my twosome by email March 7th, two days ahead of time. Contract calls for 24 hours needed for cancellation. So, I was good, right? I even emailed again on the 8th to remind them that I had canceled. No response to either email. Here's the rub. They say that they're SOOOO busy that they don't honor such silly things as cancellations. Well, if that's the policy, they should have responded to my two emails saying, "Dood, you can cancel, but we're gonna charge you anyway", and I would've made a more informed decision. But, no... the charge shows up, and GolfNow says, sorry, the Florida Club has its own policies. I am of course not going to stop until I get my money back, and until everyone knows. GolfNow is as much to blame as the course.
Greens were perfect
Nice course, had fun playing it. Would go back again, a little slow we finished in the dark.
Great Golfing Experience at The Florida Club
I've played this course at least six times this Winter season, and it never gets old. I expect to play several more rounds in the next 3 weerks before my Florida stay ends. They have a very nice driving range where you hit off the turf, and a serviceable chipping area. The speed of the practice green is representative of the green speed on the course. The staff is super friendly and the course is what most players desire: a great layout coupled with great golfing conditions. Tee times are strictly observed. As to pace of play, I am a fast player and so any round of more than 4 hours feels slow to me. Thus, afternoon rounds can have pace issues at The Florida Club, just as any other public access club in South Florida. Most golfers don't know how to conserve their time on a golf course, partly because they are cart-bound, and do not make an effort to get in position to hit their next shot after their partner hits. I've also seen groups take too much time on the green, with leisurely walks off the green. It is what it is. The rangers at The Florida Club are genial and, if the course is "jammed," one cannot expect the herd to move any faster. A great course is going to get a lot of play.
Won’t go back
This was a favourite until now. Yesterday the round took over 4.5 hours. The Ranger does not seem to know his duties.
On #16 (a par 4) I finally complained about the group ahead of us. There were 3 groups on 16 which is a par 4. The ranger’s response was “all groups are in position”.
I would hate to see what would happen if they weren’t.
Not worth paying for the aggravation. Better choices in the vicinity..
Great layout, fast pace of play, plush
We enjoyed this golf course. Very pleasant staff. I had read the reviews before booking this course - noticed that some people pointed out that the rangers rushed them a bit. I see what they're talking about now. My wife and I played back-to-back rounds here. The first day, we were paired up with 2 golfers, 1 of whom was a slow player (looked at every putt for a solid minute while we all waited). That round took us exactly 4 hours, but because we fell a hole behind the group in front of us, the rangers asked us (politely) to catch up, 5 times! The second day we played with 2 others that played very quickly - that round only took 3 hours 40 minutes. Again, the staff was kind, but I could see how some would be turned off by this. I'm a 30 year, low/no handicap golfer who always plays at pace or better. Getting the full 5 minute "we're a 4 hour or less course; replace your divots, fix ball marks, rake bunkers, etc...." before you tee off every time could make some off. I just smiled, said ok, and moved on. I guess I'd rather have that than a 5 hour round on a beaten up course. In short, if you're not a jerk and you move along, all of what I just said is a non-issue.
The greens were plush - were rolling a scorable 8. My only nit-pick with the greens is that they were maybe just a touch over top-dressed (sand pebbles) - a little wiggle on the shorter putts, but not too bad. Tee-to-green the course condition was 9/10 - very happy with that. Plenty of room on the driving range (hitting off grass too). Very large putting green - true to the course greens. GPS electric carts were nice. Yardages were to the sticks, and matched up with my laser rangefinder. The clubhouse was suitable for this course. If you're a low-handicap player, don't fear the tips - only 6700ish, and this course was one of the widest we played (least narrow). Plenty of seating if you want to have brunch/lunch or early pub-type dinner. Yes, the clubhouse closes around 6:00 this time of year, but that's pretty common - just plan ahead or eat elsewhere if you have a late afternoon round. We had lunch after 1 of our rounds - amazing quesadilla and decent wings. I'd say you'd definitely want to play this course when in the area.
