The Club Renaissance
About
The beautifully manicured, par-72 Renaissance Golf Course features two distinctive nines. The front nine has an open links feel to it with wide fairways and greens that will accept bump-and-run approach shots. The back nine requires more accuracy from tee to green as it meanders through a large conservation area. Water comes into play on every hole on the inward nine on this course designed by Chip Powell. Most fairways are lined with stately pines and ancient oaks. The greens at the Renaissance Golf Club are a pleasure to putt. These TifEagle Bermuda grass putting surfaces are state-of-the-art and roll fast.

I have played this course 5 times and this was not a great time. They have had lots of rain lately but the course didn't seem like it was in good condition before. I have always enjoyed playing here so I will try again
Could be so much better
The pictures on Golf Now and the website have to be photoshopped. The conditions are average compared to the places I normally play a bit further south (Legacy, Esplanade, Esplanade Azario, Lakewood National, River Strand, University Park). There are no sprinkler heads marked for yardage and the course isn’t even loaded on GPS devices (GHIN, Garmin, etc.) which makes it nearly impossible to know yardage without a range finder. Young guy in pro shop checking me in couldn’t have been lazier. No help at all. No range to warm up. No cart person. Layout is very nice; could be so much more.
Exellent course
First time visit, in exellent conditions whit a littlebit slow greens.
a bit easy layout, water on 17 holes but mostly dont in game.
Didn´t se any gator.
Swedish/european player hcp 10.
We will be back.
Recently reopened so the course was in very good shape. The off course amenities were closed. Very unusual for a Saturday afternoon.
Underrated Course
We are a German couple and during the last 15 years we played many courses in this area. This one is definitely on our top 5 list,, not the longest, but a perfect layout 😊 get on it
Course Shut Down
Everything was awesome! Too bad they are shutting down for 4 months to put in new greens!
Great Experience
We enjoyed the experience so much that we plan on joining the club !
Great shape and fun to play.
The course was in fantastic shape. Greens were fast yet fair. Pace of play was perfect. Overall just a great day.
Great overall experience
Course is in excellet shape. Great merchandise deals in the pro shop. Overall great experience at Renaissance.
first time
My sons and I played this course for the first time. The greens were nice and fast. Lots a water that we didn’t realize. The course needs marking for yardage. Seems like the number on sprinkler heads were worn off. Tee boxes were in fairly good shape and the fairways were very nice and well kept, even though I wasn’t on many. Sand traps were nice. Will play again
Not worth the money or frustration
We arrived at the course 15 minutes prior to our tee time, and was told they were out of carts and we would have to wait until one was available, yet many members who had their own carts were able to play while we waited. The course is in a senior community, and while members are very friendly, they do play slow. The fairways have a lot of bare spots, especially in front of the greens, which isn’t really a problem because play was so slow there is plenty of time to move your ball to a spot with some grass. Since there are no beverage carts on the course, bring plenty to eat and drink, as the service and staff in the clubhouse is terrible if you stop at the turn. There are many courses in the area that treat you like they appreciate you patronage, but this is not one of them. Not worth the money, or the drive.
great track, burnt greens
windy and burnt greens rolling close to 11.5. tough day. need some rain
Great layout
Very interesting holes, lots of water, fast greens
Average at best
I decided to play at this course from reading reviews online. I was completely disappointed in the cost of this course compared to the conditions that this course currently has. The layout is very nice but the greens were average at best and the bunkers have a little sand and need some attention. I expected better conditions for the price this course charges.
