About
The beautifully manicured, par-72 Renaissance Golf Course features two distinctive nines. The front nine has an open links feel to it with wide fairways and greens that will accept bump-and-run approach shots. The back nine requires more accuracy from tee to green as it meanders through a large conservation area. Water comes into play on every hole on the inward nine on this course designed by Chip Powell. Most fairways are lined with stately pines and ancient oaks. The greens at the Renaissance Golf Club are a pleasure to putt. These TifEagle Bermuda grass putting surfaces are state-of-the-art and roll fast.

disappointed
Not near worth what they charge in season. Just average course with NO DRIVING RANGE. Have to go to different course to hit balls to warm up. Good cart guys, Pro Shop staff not so friendly

Greens were ok Be better in a week or two
over rated but nice enough
A very over rated course but it was nice enough. It was not very difficult but well kept. It is a good average golf course but not worth the drive if you live 10 or more miles away.
Disappointed
First time back since 2015. Except for the greens, the course is in terrible shape, probably due to all of the rain. Fairways had a lot of crabgrass. It was very soggy. I love this course, but it has suffered from our strange 2016 weather....

Nice course not very busy impresive clubhouse
I never played here before but will be again. Very nice layout and clubhouse. The conditions were soggy the day we played, but the fairway and greens were nice. Is a little short overall, but we played from the mahogany tees so it was not bad. Would highly recommend.

Great greens.
Real nice course. Great greens. I will definitely come back. Real good condition.
Downside was grille room after 9th hole took 20 minutes to get 3 drinks/hotdogs . Staff poor,,, had no courtesy to get us out the door to keep up with the pace of play.

I'll give it 3.5 stars
It's a good course. The course certainly has teeth with water seemingly all over the place.
It's probably a course you need to play quite a bit to get a handle on how to play it. There are quite a few shots that have hidden water hazards or red steaks that aren't easily visible from the tee box.
Course condition was good. Greens were good and rolled true. Fairways had some dead spots but overall I would say they were in good condition.

One of my favorites
From pulling into the parking lot until the 18th green this course is worth the $$. The staff is always friendly and helpful to our Sunday group, the tees, greens and fairways have always been in great shape despite the amount of traffic going through the course. Not sure how the 19th hole is because I have never eaten there. There are two ice and water stations, one on the front and one on the back.
The only negative I can think of is they do not have a range, you have to drive about a half mile up the road to Sandpiper and use their range, as the courses are affiliated. Also there is no GPS on the carts but you do have the usual fairway markers and make sure you ask the pin location number. I suggest you try Renaissance at least once.

The conditions of this course are terrible
This course was in the terrible condition. It looked like they had never once re seeded, watered, fertilized etc. Some of the tee boxes and greens and even fairways were a joke. I expected a top level course and this was in as bad of shape as i've ever played. I would avoid playing at any cost. Some of the greens has spots 5ft in diameter that had no grass at all, just dirt. Do not bother to play here!!! The sand was the only thing that was nice here the rest of the course was in 1/10 shape!

Very well-kept course and layout
Have been to this course several times and have enjoyed it each time. Drains well especially since heavy rains the day before. Beautiful layout with well- manicured fairways. Several greens had damage, but were under repair-- ball still rolled true. Very friendly staff and helpful attendants upon arrival. Must negotiate carefully around large water areas, but overall a fair course even to higher handicapped golfers like myself. You will enjoy playing here!

Sunday Funday
My friend and I took advantage of a hot deal from Golf Now and played Club Renaissance. The course was in great shape. We had an 11:06 tee time and we teed off at 11:10. The pace was fine. The course was overall in great shape. Only a few greens had bad spots. The fairways were in great shape. The course design was challenging. The back 9 was much more difficult than the front 9. Hole 10 had a risk/reward off the tee box. You have to drive over a lake into a thin fairway then hit a short iron onto an elevated green protected by bunkers. This is one of the best courses in South Shore.
My only complaint was that they had no "grab and go" items in the clubhouse. They had a great looking Sunday brunch but no hot dogs or pre-made sandwiches.

Course had terrible greens, decent fairways
Had a very bad ant infestation, weed growth and brown spots on greens . Fairways were in good shape , but had a lot of blind shots off tee box
There is nothing wrong with a 3 star review if the course is average lol- not sure why your complaining so much about a comment- if you don't like The course, tell the pro. And no, greens are definitely not the only reason people play- there is scenery, landscaping, pace of play, new course experience, etc.
How do you explain your 3 star review if the "greens are terrible"?? isn't the most important part of the course. Very bad ant infestation but 3 stars? thanks for you honest review. This course is a joke just say it you would have saved me the money I wasted there.

Course Needs Water Badly
The course had a beautiful layout but was EXTREMELY dry. Fairways were burned out and hard and there was no grass to hit the ball from. It was a shame as the course could be excellent based on layout, bunkers, length,etc

Course cancelled my reservation
I booked an 8:00 tee time. The course then emailed me with a cancellation. They said my time was no longer available. This was a good rate and a shotgun start. Maybe next time,

Terrible condition
I love this course and have played it a lot. It is in the worst shape I have ever seen. Looks like they stopped watering and the greens are poor

Decent course
Overall this is a pretty nice course. It is a little tight with houses on the sides of the fairways and the greens were extremely fast which made putting difficult. I still enjoyed my round there.

Pleasant experience
Very nice course with pretty good pace. Course layout is pretty good with some interesting holes. Course condition also pretty good. Overall our time there was good and would go back.

NO Practice Range!!!!
In previous years we've always went to Sandpiper to warm up before our round at Club Ren...but, were told that we could no longer do that because they couldn't monitor the range. That leaves such a nice course as Club Ren with NO PRACTICE FACILITY!!!! I don't like starting off COLD. Need to make better arrangements with Sandpiper.

Hello thank you for the 4-star review. As of 2016, we no longer are including the Sandpiper range as a complimentary addition to your Club Renaissance tee time. You can still purchase range balls at Sandpiper for $7, though. We hope you can come back soon and play Club Renaissance.
