About
The beautifully manicured, par-72 Renaissance Golf Course features two distinctive nines. The front nine has an open links feel to it with wide fairways and greens that will accept bump-and-run approach shots. The back nine requires more accuracy from tee to green as it meanders through a large conservation area. Water comes into play on every hole on the inward nine on this course designed by Chip Powell. Most fairways are lined with stately pines and ancient oaks. The greens at the Renaissance Golf Club are a pleasure to putt. These TifEagle Bermuda grass putting surfaces are state-of-the-art and roll fast.

Lovely Course - shame about maintenance
I love this course layout and in tha past it’s been in great condition. However, played here yesterday and a number of fairways were “ ground under repair” - disappointing but overall still a really decent track. Staff were most helpful. Had a spot of lunch which was disappointing hence no dinner afterwards.
Should not be open
I'm not going to slam the course because I do play there regularly and it's great. That being said, the course should not be open right now. Not sure if it was the water or wind from the hurricane, but a lot of the fairways are under repair making it tough to play.
Needs a lot of help!
I have played here several times and always enjoyed it. This time however the fairways were being repaired and sprigged and were in terrible shape. Hole #16 was even closed. None of this was disclosed when i made the tee time. The greens were in great shape so that was something. I would return only after the repairs and maintenance is completed.
Wonderful day of golf.
Course was in good shape considering all the rain we've been getting and company was good.
Great layout
Great track, lots of water and sand traps. Staff was very friendly and the course is in good condition, they had some bad chemical burns on several fairways but they don't hinder the playing conditions. A few things to note for first timers are that there isn't a driving range or chipping area and the practice green is very small. The only bad thing about our round was that we had the 8:16 tee time which was just between their regulars. They had our twosome sit at the first tee with three groups of regulars stacked behind us and another in front. Needless to say, we were rushed for the first three holes and unable to get a feel for the course until things opened up. We didn't mind waiting on the group in front of us but were rushed by the group behind initially.
I plan to play here again and would recommend giving it a try.
Fun Course
I love Club Renaissance. There are not one but two sets of tees for women. The most forward tees are well under 5000 yards which makes for more fun if you want to "tee it forward" and have more birdie putts! The other set is also a reasonable length for women. Holes are memorable and course is in good shape. The food in the clubhouse is good. No driving range which doesn't bother me but might be a factor for some.
Enjoying the course
The course is nice and challenging for the price you will pay. I always enjoy playing this course.
Absolute Steal
Played this course on a sunday on my drive to tampa. Course was in great shape, no ball marks or anything on the greens and clean fairways. Played in under 3 hours!
Best for the money
This is the best course we have played this vacation and great value. My only concern in recommending is that they were beginning to rip up the tee boxes. The rest of the course is terrific considering the drought it has endured.
Excellent
Golf course in perfect condition, staff very friendly especially the rangers, however some golfers had no etiquette, foursome ahead of me played slow and wouldn't let me go through. I would come back but definitely try to be paired up.
Excellent
I never have seen this course NOT in top condition. It's always been at the top of the list for me and my buddies. I pass 3 courses before getting to this one.
One of best courses in the Tampa Bay Area!
Nice Course
This book is a nice course in good condition from tee to greens. There are quite a number of tough tee shots with either water or narrow landing area and greens are small.
Fairways are plush
Scheduled another round. Difficult but well laid out.
Great course, great price
Course was in great shape. Didn't slow till hole 15, and that was not bad. Greens rolled true.
Great layout
For as dry as it's been this course was in great shape. Love the layout and green speed. Great job to the staff....
golf review
This course has a private feeling to it. Has some very entertaining holes both easy and challenging.
