The Club Renaissance
About
The beautifully manicured, par-72 Renaissance Golf Course features two distinctive nines. The front nine has an open links feel to it with wide fairways and greens that will accept bump-and-run approach shots. The back nine requires more accuracy from tee to green as it meanders through a large conservation area. Water comes into play on every hole on the inward nine on this course designed by Chip Powell. Most fairways are lined with stately pines and ancient oaks. The greens at the Renaissance Golf Club are a pleasure to putt. These TifEagle Bermuda grass putting surfaces are state-of-the-art and roll fast.

My dear wife teeing off Photo submitted by strybosch on 02/17/2015
Excellent conditions
Played last Thursday. 35 bucks for fla resident. Wasn't sure what to expect as I drove from tampa. Course was in great shape. Greens were excellent. Tee boxes nice. Even the rough was manicured. Bunkers were all legit with fresh sand. Well maintained throughout. We are picky and just loved the condition.
The Club Renaissance Trip
The course was in really good shape and it was difficult for playing it for the first time. If I were to play it again I would play some holes differently.
Top tier service and course
From the moment I pulled into the parking lot and had a course Marshall behind me with my cart and info I was impressed. Quick and efficient service was not something I had anticipated or expected based on the other players and neighborhood. The course was in great shape And the greens rolled true. Pace of play was adequate, the course has a couple of par 3's in close proximity which forces a slow up, but overall to 3.5 hours to pay the round. The only con was that even showing up 30 minutes early I couldn't swing a bit at the range because it was located too far from the clubhouse.
Overall really enjoyed my morning.
Best Facility in the Area Hands Down!
I went to Club Renaissance the first time oddly enough on the recommendation of an employee at another golf course in the area, which shall remain nameless. My first visit I was impressed by the course condition and lay-out. The staff was also extremely polite and as a single they let me get off 30 minutes prior to my scheduled time. This got me in front of some foursomes and I was able to get 18 holes in in under 3 hours. You can't beat that for a Sunday. Better yet, the layout is great and the fairways and greens are in the best condition of any course I've played in the area. Overall outstanding golf experience. I went back again on the 4th of July, was paired up with another single and still finished 18 holes in 3 hours and 15 minutes. This will undoubtedly be my go-to course from here on out and with the "Hot Deal" from golfnow it's a steal. They could charge $60 a round and people would pay it, but thank goodness they don't. My wallet thanks them. Cheers!
Club Renaissance
We had a 330 teatime late afternoon storms approaching lightning thunder rain got underway after three holes had to stop for the weather to pass . The course was in great shape and I really enjoyed it. I will certainly plan to play there again soon.
One of the best in the south shore
Nice layout and always in great shape. Some challenging holes, good greens, and great fairways.
twosome at Club Renaissance
My wife and I played this course Sunday. The rate we got with GolfNow was excellent and overall we give high marks to the course and club. Notice that we gave pace of play low marks but I must qualify by noting we were a twosome and quickly caught up with a foursome that didn't allow us to play through. We really weren't in a hurry and understood the situation so we just relaxed and enjoyed.
Nice coarse
One of the top 2 golf courses in southern Hillsborough County. Love this place
will play again
very nice and well maintained course...will play again
Excellent golf course
Great conditions, solid test of golf. Unfortunately, even though the course was WIDE open, the 2-some in front of me ignored me as a single and my 3.5 hour round could have easily been a 2.5 hour round if they just let me play through. They may have been members or it's a Florida thing where it's up to YOU to ask to play through, but I'm not sure, I'm a new resident in FL.
Club Renaissance
The course is very enjoyable and when it began to rain we were offered a rain check
worth the trip
went as a twosome paired up to make 4 ball had great time, course in excellent shape.
I'll be back
One of my top 3 favorite courses(within 50 miles)when a good deal can be had on golfnow. A little pricey otherwise. I am about a 6 handicap, but can shoot anywhere from 70-90 here. Driving the ball well is the key. This day I accomplished that with the exception of 2-3 not so perfect ones, but always had a shot to the green and shot 76. I get really frustrated with a lot of courses where the green speeds are not consistent from hole to hole. This course is much better in that regard, but it does happen. Always one of the best conditioned courses in the area and fun to play. I'll be back.
Amazing Course
Great shape and not that busy. Rental clubs are the new Nikes which was a pleasant surprise.
Well-designed course
My husband and I played this for the first time this week. The guys who greet you and the starter were very friendly and helpful. The course design was challenging and fun. Interesting layout. There was a lot of water but not a lot of bunkers to ruin the enjoyment of the holes. The greens were in good shape but the fairways were not. A major plus is that players were permitted to play as twosomes and not grouped up. The facilities could use some updates and the location of ice/water is strange-- hidden somewhere in the cart garage. Overall, great experience and we look forward to playing there again.
Great Course, interesting layout
This is the second time I've played this course and have enjoyed both rounds. Excellent conditions. You have to pay attention to the grain of the greens. Sneeky fast down grain. The back 9 is tighter than the front, so do your scoring on the front 9.
Mid day golf
Greens were in very good shape The fairways were in good shape. Would definetly play again.
Sun City Gem
The course was in pretty good shape considering the greens were punched a few weeks ago. Fairways and bunkers in good shape. Always enjoy playing this course.
This course has character.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Course was in great shape. It also has several very interesting holes.
